Will Cowboys fans care next year

I’ve been a fan for 45+ years and I’ll always care but a little less each year. Just bad inconsistent football.
The bone heads on this forum that are constantly crying about Dak, Zeke don’t have a clue. It’s much bigger problem than just those two. This high profile team needs a hard a** coach that holds everyone accountable. With Jerry at the helm, it’s not gonna happen.

I wonder how strong the apathy among Cowboys fans will be present next season.
There just seems to be a malaise among Cowboys fans after another failed season.
I think being burned year after year, for 26 years, by this team of teasing fans and flaming out when it counts the most is at it's peak.
The team could start 10-0 and I think fans will be like, meh, we've seen this movie before. Only until they make it past the Wild Card or win a Divisional Playoff game will fans start to believe in this team.
I will always care, it's the level of care that I will have.
My expectations keep going down.

I’m an example of a Cowboys fan despite the Jones cartel. I was a Cowboys fan for two decades before I had even heard of Jerral Wayne Jones. I will remain a Cowboys fan.

However, if you’re asking me if I’m buying what Jerry sells every training camp, the answer is no. I’ve been a “I will believe it when it happens” fan for a long time.

Of course they are. I won't believe otherwise until other teams start jumping over the cowboys in net worth..i definitely won't though. just tired of it all.

Even this place is wearing me down with literally the same threads about what we should do to improve, even though a lot of us know 99% of those suggestions won't happen. I used to get excited about the offseason, the threads about potential moves we would make or people we'd sign, but Jerry/Stephen always find a way to screw it up, either through FA, the draft, coach signings or all of the above.

For every Dan Quinn, theres 3 Mike Nolans. For every Parsons, there's 6 Taco Charltons. For every Jayron Kearse, theres 9 Keanu neals. Every move isn't always going to work out but it just seems we're always doing the exact same thing over and over, and hoping for different results. Just over it. I'll always be a fan (unless VA gets a actual team) but i'm no longer a diehard.

I'll care, but the level to which I care is far different than it was years ago. I genuinely dislike Jerry and Stephen for their stubbornness in refusing to change.

Stephen has been Jerry's personnel guy for a quarter century and they've accomplished next to nothing in the playoffs. Expecting these fantasy football managers to suddenly outsmart the rest of the NFL is more hope than I can muster. Beating up on bad teams in October won't change that, at least not for me.

I'm not jumping on the Super Bowl hype train until I see them get beyond the divisional round. I've seen the playoff flop, or worse, too many times.

They've been Jerry's zombie mob for over 25 years. Why would next year be any different?

They will chant his name in camp next year. Like they always do.

Then explain why you post here. If you don't care, then is this just for the likes? Or is it to ridicule people who still hold out hope?

I'd love to say there is another reason, but one doesn't come to mind. If you think this is a great spot to work out your comedy routine, don't give up that day job with Port-O-Potty.

I will admit last year I fell into the Zeke trap. You fans remember Zeke training before pre-season looking like a lean freight train jump cutting, exploding left and right between cones and bags?! I thought, yes Zeke is gonna ***** dominate! Then the season starts and Zeke runs straight ahead and never jump cuts EVERRR!!! I was sucked in again.

total apathy plus lack of attendance and eyeballs on screen would be the best thing thats happened to the team in 26 years, but it wont in numbers necessary to get the jackass in charge's attention so expect business as usual (& continued failure) for decades

Been a fan for 51 years and the last 26 years have finally given me the true ID of the franchise, not the team, the damn franchise. The franchise is satisfied with GOOD ENOUGH instead of EXCELLENCE.
