And it usually works with a large chunk of the fan base--"They aren't releasing Cooper, because they messed up the cap; they are releasing him because he has a bad attitude."

Honestly, I would have more respect for them if they just came out and said the truth, that with their cap situation, it just makes sense to cut/trade Cooper. I know math. I know the cap pretty well. I can see why they are cutting him.

Trying to tell me he's a bad apple who took off plays in games is BS.

This is a classic case of negotiating against yourself. If the Cowboys truly want to move on from Cooper, why on earth would you broadcast your opinions and intentions?

It seems the Cowboys have really damaged any trade value Cooper almost certainly would have had.

So, knowing you have cap crunch on the horizon, you sign a WR for a market-setting contract and then cut or trade him because of his contract. Utter nonsense.

I mean this is how the Cowboys do it. Leak negative things when they are about to get rid of a high level player for cap purposes.

They are more worried about what the fans are going to think than alienating players.

Also no cares for destroying trade value…regardless of what that value is to begin with.

jones boys are in full circus mode now, look at all the hype they are getting off of releasing one guy lol !

I knew they were blaming him for the loss lol. Now here it is !
They cant blame themselves or the clowns they hired as coaches, or dak or elliot, lets put it all on this guy
lol who we cant afford to keep anyway.

Then lets sign a guy who just tore up his leg !! We will be fine then!

There were many things I found "TROUBLING" in the SF wc loss, but amari wasnt one of them !

First time I've heard this but it's Fish, so not sure what to make of it. Honestly, it probably doesn't matter, coz his future here was already decided before the playoffs IMO.

"The Cowboys don't necessarily think he quit," the source said, "but ... let's just say they found his effort at the end troubling."

Fisher really is the perfect last name for that goofball. Always reeling his victims in with clickbait.

Cooper is what he is. Extremely talented but has no dog in him. He's the anti-Michael Irvin. You can't just blame Prescott for his mediocre numbers for a #1 WR. He did the same thing with the Raiders.

Cooper did this in multiple games. Wasn't a rare occurrence

There's a lot of quit in that dude.

I ain't saying he did or didn't lack effort. Nor will I regurgitate how badly the FO has handled this whole situation.

I will say though, that I have close friends who are Raiders fans and his effort came into question during his time there as well.

Remember, his effort was questioned by the Raiders, so this could be true.

He’s also fat, and poorly conditioned. Dude was never worth a 1st round pick and certainly not worth a 20 m per year contract. He needed to go. By any means necessary.

Let's see, Cooper is being called out for not hustling on two long producing plays for not blocking well? Maybe, he just did not want to add to the penalty count. How many times did WR's and TE's, in particular CD and Shultz, get flagged? Lot's of times.

Same snake move by FO will happen again in couple years. Different player, different criticism; but same FO buffoons.

And fans demand loyalty out of players. Yeah, okay. Say what you will about Dak's contract so far but after the team leaked that Dak wanted $40M to make him look bad the year before, as a player I wouldn't have signed for less than $40M a year out of ironic principle (revenge, to the layperson). Loyalty my left nutcase.

Same M.O. as during the Garrett years. They do this before the Gallup deal so they not only ruin Cooper being traded, Gallup can ask for what he wants. We’re playing checkers.

Cowboys always go into smear campaign mode when they want to drop somebody. Put out "leaked" info about their character and/or effort, cut them, and then when they end up with the same losing results the next year, they find their newest scapegoat. Amari is a lowkey kind of guy and he isn't perfect but it's hard for him to perform if the ball doesn't get thrown to him.
really because it was the rep he had coming from the raiders, we saw it fiorst had him disappearing on moist road games and also sometimes just looks unmotivated, yet the FO is making it up now? go do search bet i find 100s of fan posts saying the same thing the FO is claiming.

BTW since when does and employer whos paying and employee need tactic or scapegoat to evaluate and fire an employee..they dont answer to you.they in fact can care likes what you think. neither do i LOL
