Broncos started the season 3-0, and ended it only 2 games behind the Chargers who were playing in week 18 for a wild card spot. I think they definitely have the roster/situation to get the most out of this trade

It’s a Super Bowl or bust trade. Not really the same as trading for Manning because Wilson isn’t even close to that good. And the Rams are far more loaded than the Broncos are.

But Russell is also only 33. He could be the Broncos QB until 2030. I don’t agree it’s bust if they don’t reach the SB

He’ll retire by the time he’s 37 or 38. Maybe sooner. He’s a small dude that will be an injury risk as he gets older and he has many outside interests in the entertainment industry.

Wilson was garbage last season and has been trending downward for several seasons. His current level of play almost parallels Dak’s.
He broke his finger.

Before that, he had a 10:1 td to int ratio against the Colts, Titans, Vikings, 49ers, and Rams

So in other words, he performed against good teams. Unlike the frontrunner we have in Dallas

He just turned 33 before the end of the season, this is his age 33 season yet to come. Thats still 5-6 years of a probably HoF QB for a couple first round picks. I’d do that

It’s a Super Bowl or bust trade. Yes, in a sense. But its also a we've got a good enough roster that we want to give it a chance with a legit QB. At least the Broncos don't seem comfortable just squandering talent. They are willing to take a swing.

Not really the same as trading for Manning because Wilson isn’t even close to that good. Manning was on his last leg in Denver. Not sure how Russ isn't viewed as way better than Manning was at that stage. Russ may be on the decline & this move may not pan out but that is speculation. What we should all agree on is that Russ is a very talented player who has kept the Seahawks viable with not a lot around him.

And the Rams are far more loaded than the Broncos are.
Maybe, maybe not. If not for Kupp & his historic season, do the Rams get there? I think both teams have enough talent that a legit QB has a chance of putting you over the top.

Oh ok, that explains his downtrend over the last 3 seasons. Dak’s had a few good games in a row as well.

Im not even defending Dak right now.

Wow, that is a huge package for many think an aging QB. Everyone wants to go all like the Rams, but Seattle did the same and now they are in a rebuild.

Ya'll act like this dude doesn't have a ring and a winning record in the playoffs at 11-10.

You know who else has 11 career playoff wins? Aikman and Staubach.

Hey, just having some fun with it.
It is the off season, and we will not be participating in it.
So may was well have some fun…still one and done, same as Dak. :muttley:

I do not blame Denver for making this trade because they have a really good team outside of the quarterback position.

Denver is a much better team with him, but I am probably one of the few people who think Wilson is on the decline and, while he is still a really good quarterback right now, there is no way I would have traded multiple first round picks for him.
I think they have the same mentality as the Rams, pull out all the stops now.

I agree, Wilson has declined but he's better than what DEN had and with Rodgers off the table, they had to move.

Mr. Jones, need to sit down and learn how to do business from teams like Denver and St. Louis, Mr. Jones have not been able to do anything with Cooper, a shame,
