While other teams make big moves, the Cowboys do squat

Dak's contract raised the QB bar to the moon.
Rodgers, Allen, and other future QB deals that are pending should send Dak and his agent major thank you gifts!!!

Mahomes contract set the bar, not Dak

Seattle weakened themselves and the fact that GB and Seattle made those moves keeps our rivals or the teams in the nfc from getting better. BTW any moves in FA when player is added means he was subtracted from another team , reality of FA is stop looking around as if this somehow miraculously and suddenly makes a team better, its ON PAPER a nice move yet for the other teams a bad one then , right? swapping spots maybe.

so may dream team scenarios failed more teams who make these big paper moves don't see much of a return..

how about this FA is just starting can you wait until the season over to judge the moves..jeez Louise. drama queen alerts all over once again 1 day into the league year and we already have the DC losers..

also remember TB bucs bringing back all 2 was supposed to get them a b2b SB was it not i remember when AD and Bron decided together and in many giant names would start new dynasty didn't work from either team.one and done

ONE AND DONE

on paper brah remember the games have to be played. lets see how 2022 ends before questioning every damn move!
I’d rather have the hope of being good, even if it’s was on paper. Because sitting back and doing nothing equals certain mediocrity.

When there’s one cap, it’s ALL connected. Personally, I think Cooper is closer to a $20 million player than Schultz is to $11 million. Do you disagree?

It's all intertwined, but it's not as if it came down to a direct choice between Cooper or Schultz.

And no, I don't disagree with your comment, but we have to recognize there are more factors than that. Salary cap casualties are often more about who can save a team more cap space and what they feel they will have left at the position after that player is gone. They probably feel that with Lamb and Gallup they have remaining players on the roster that leave them still in good shape at the top of the WR depth chart, and they don't feel that at TE without Schultz. Accordingly they don't feel they have to replace the $20 million/year guy with someone making remotely that. They may replace him with a $4 million player. That's a big savings.

I see their logic. Why pay elite players to get bounced in the first round when you can pay marginal players to get bounced in the first round.

You want to trade two firsts and two seconds for Russell Wilson????

In that reality, we would have had to play the last two years without a real starting QB, maybe like Teddy Bridgewater, because you can't hypothetically have Dak signed then also do this trade. In that case the first we gave up might be top 10 this year without a QB.

I get some frustration, but what is a realistic trade that rivals this splash?

The cowboys didn’t have to make a blockbuster trade to improve. They could have kept their traps shut about Amari and found a suitor for him.

You can make your team better by judiciously exploring trade avenues. But the Cowboys refuse to do that.

While other teams will be out there on the market, making BIG moves to improve themselves and truly chase a championship, our marvelous Dallas Cowboys tag JAGs like Dalton Schultz and re-sign all-world talent like Noah Brown.

This team is so predictable and pathetic. Year after year, same old “the cap is a real factor” word vomit, while proclaiming they are in it to win it. At this point, why does any fan fall for the snake oil sales tactics?

Am I still bitter from the playoff embarrassment? Yes.

Do I understand the decisions they’re making so far in the offseason? Nope.

Will I still be here to watch the ship sink again next season? Unfortunately.
what do you want them to do?

They chose wisely as having Cooper with that pay grade is a waste with our QB.
TE not so much as he's perfect check-down material.....

Since Carr, they have been gun shy and don’t expect that to change.

Our big move should be seeing what we can get in a Dak trade....regardless of his no trade clause. And if we get an offer...he either waives the no trade....or we cut him....leaving all that money on the table.

besides Denver getting Wilson.... what teams have made big moves?

Because he has a preschool QB who is infatuated with making the safe throw! You really think he was the 3rd ranked TE based on talent? That’s laughable. But carry on.
You mirror what Packer fans say about Aaron…

If “ doing something big “ means two # 1’s and 2 second rounders for a guy on the downside of his career count me out.

This is how they operate since I've been paying attention. I can see you've been paying attention too.

So this is your first off season as a Cowboy's fan I see.

If another team signed Schultz it would be labeled a big signing of a good TE with versatility and a huge blow to a Cowboys offense. But we retain him and it's viewed a failure and a blah signing? We knew what to expect going into free agency retaining some of our own and doing some value shopping with scheme fits to fill holes headed into the draft.

I don't agree with a Cooper move unless we get some decent comp back, but that's my biggest gripe at the moment.

3rd seed 6th rank team in the nfl isn't 16 16= 50% of 32 =mediocrity 6 isn't 16..

we are way above the mediocre line regardless of the letdown come playoff time. Sorry to school you with math vs a definition..both = you are wrong..ef hope btw..you play the season out and see how it goes..

now if we finish 16 this coming season we can talk..BTW once again JUST 1 day into offseason where tags can be applied and trades made and this is already concluded hopeless LMAO Hopeless fans more like it! same ones claiming Parsons was picked too high and he wouldn't be good and that our draft was terrible before one game played , turned out one of the better drafts weve ever had in many opinions

howd that work out for the naysayers...

games are NOT played o npaper..

They like their own wrong guys. Nepotism has sucked the life out of the organization

The reason they always like their guys is because it’s what lazy and ignorant people do: if they keep their own people they just have the lawyers draw up the papers. To trade or sign free agents would require that you do some home work, and know how to evaluate football talent. Stephen and Jerry won’t and can’t do either. And ironically, even when they take the easy way out extending their guys, they screw that up extending the wrong players and doing awful contracts that overpay.
