Signed by Cowboys Lawrence contract extended

...crap, I like the guy, but was hoping he was goner. He's basically Crawford at DE.

I have to admit, Dlaw actually did us a solid as this is a pseudo pay cut hidden inside an extension.

Dlaw had $40 mill and 2 yrs left on his deal, none of it guaranteed. The Cowboys added an additional year to the deal, but kept the same $40 mill and in exchange for doing this, they made $30 mill of the remaining $40 mill guaranteed.

It really is a win-win for both parties.

Thanks for the information

first off kudos to the FO, it's not often we get to say that, now with that said, why not give Zeke the same deal?

Exactly.............the Ewok that cant run more than 5 yards without tapping out for a rest break is counting $18 mill on the cap.

How this deal has not been reworked is just beyond logic, only thing that makes sense is they dont want to touch his deal because he is getting released next year.

Were was DLAW in then SF 49ers playoff game....were was DLAW in the Cardinals game....you say he was good against the pass and run.....COME ON MAN....DLAW should be renamed D-DUD..... Its ok....I understand...

You guys are brain dead already. I don’t blame you I blame Jerry.
Our defense was the only thing good we had most of the season. When DLAW came back we started being very good , maybe too 5. It’s funny to me that this dude takes a pay cut for the betterment of the team, and people still call him names and aren’t happy. WTH do you want them to do if they let Tank and Randy and JK all go. SMDH

Good deal really. Also makes DE not as pressing as an issue in April.

This guy was constantly hurt or suspended in his first three seasons. He had a great season just in time for a new contract. his productivity nosedived a season after signing his new contract, hurt again most of last season and he's been extended?

I understand the potential of him and Parsons playing together next season. However, based on his history, that potential has very little possibility of being realized.

That is what is being reported: (They turned a 2 yr $40m contract into a 3 yr 40m contract with $30m guaranteed)

Wow just wow.....what a pathetic signing.

We are going to be paying someone with 0 sacks for the next 3 years. He has no reason to work on.

Cowboys front office are idiots.

I bet they will extend Zeke also.
