Why are we not all in right now?

Roster isn’t good enough. Rams we’re 3-3 in the post season with a Super Bowl loss in the previous 4 years. That’s a far cry from this team. Rams we’re in a much better position to go all in, the Cowboys simply aren’t there yet..

Ok, but since you have that player, isn't this the time to make a push to get better?
thats a good point , but jones boys may plan on keeping dak another 10 years !!
So they are in no hurry, except with they are getting old so that clock is ticking.

We saw what the Rams just did, and I'm not advocating for that.....but Tampa and Green Bay are also going for it now, and how exactly are we to compete with that when we are worried about not having too much dead money down the road?

At some point you have to try to take your shot....and they CAN do it, and do it now....but they seem to choose not to.

Are we content to lose to whoever is going all in at the time as long as we can still do that when it's someone else??

I really don't understand, and also can't see how Jerry thinks he is getting "that Super Bowl" if they don't take some risks.

The kid seems to be beyond conservative, and it's proven to do nothing except maybe get you into the playoffs.

They can't build on success at all......every winning season is followed by a disaster.

I know the kid has a lot of say these days, but I'm surprised Jerry doesn't have more of a desire to take the next step and try to build on last year.
This is the Bozo way of going all in.

The rams didnt build their team in one season, they have been adding pieces for awhile now.
They mad a bold qb move, dumped their high pick rb.
Dallas would have stuck with goff for many more years, and extended the rb lol

Last year was a better year to go all in. But you just never know and we are in a weak division. They want to build a good team but they aren't concerned with actually building a team to compete for a SB. We had a surprisingly good team with a few holes playing well for most of last year, just needed a little help and maybe just maybe we beat San Fran then who knows. But they failed to do anything and used the cap and future as an excuse.
They don't know how to build a good team for the super bowl. They are shocked when they lose every year. And every year it's for the same basic reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And told us how healthy Gurley was every year.

They paid an average QB like he's Tom Brady.

And privately, they know that was a mistake. Dak isn't capable of bigtime playoff football.

They need to start over and rebuild, but that doesn't sell jerseys or tickets.

I think they know as well about Dak. They waited forever to make sure and it cost them as they couldn’t let him go after that. Screw these dudes. I hope someday they win in spite of these fools and the HC gets all the press

Good post and all true but remember, we were good enough to beat the 49er's but Fat Mike was out coached....badly.

So this team hasn’t been adding pieces for 2 years? Doesn’t mean they’re ready to go “all in”! Fans here are already crying about getting rid of Cooper and possibly Collins, trying to create cap room damned if you do damned if you don’t. And Goff was there for 5 years! Still took them time. all in wasn’t happening in year 2 or 3.

Honestly sometimes they do a good job in the off-season especially the draft but you have to do more. Things happen during the season and you have got to fix issues mid season to seriously make a run. They rarely do those mid season trades. I think the last one was for amari but that wasn't to turn a good team into a great team. Rams didn't make it happen by standing pat, Robert was out so they got obj, got von Miller, talked weddle into un retiring. We wasted a 12 win season

Does Jerry actually think he will be able to convince the world that he was the guy who put it all together as he pushes his 90s?

That's not the Cowboys front offices style.
They have grown quite conservative in their approach towards free agency

Really well thought out post man. Great job.

Sounds like a valid petition to the Front Office.

You answered your own question. LA, Green Bay and Tampa are all in right now and we don’t stand a chance against any of those teams.

Probably best to try to time our championship window in line with those teams starting to rebuild.
I wouldnt say its that dire, if they wanted to bring in a Wagner, and get lucky enough to draft Davis, this defense could transcend quickly.
If they did that, they could spend the rest of the draft on OL/WR/RB and this roster could start looking a lot better.
Give Quinn one solid FA and his choice at 24, give the offense the rest and I would be interested again.

They are all overpaid.

Exactly. This is what is so hard for all the Dak bashers to understand. Every QB in the league is overpaid because that is what QB's cost. They act like Dak wouldn't be getting this kind of money from any other team. It's clear they aren't looking at what other teams are paying for QB's both better and worse than Prescott.

We have the money to add two proven players in FA that make our defense better than it was last year right now. It's especially important now that we know the offense is not as powerful as we expected it to be, and now minus Cooper. That doesn't mean we sit back and whisper our "genuine interest" in a player, or whine about the cap being a real thing. It means you go out there and wheel and deal like you really would do anything to win a SB. That isn't this FO. We just sit on our hands and depend on the draft to get us over the top.

Because they overspent and over rated their own talent.
