Zeke had 12 TDS and 1200+ APY

and a PCL

they are not cutting Zeke

Prepare yourself. He's taking a pay cut or getting cut after this season. With the way they manage the cap, there is no way they are going to take a $17 million cap hit next year. The fact they didn't restructure this year's cap number of $18 million tells you that they don't want to kick anymore into the future to give them the ability to cut bait and save cap space after 2022.

I think the word "love" is overstated, in terms of what this roster inspires!
Much more work will be required before this roster gets "lovable."

He is just trying to get like and troll everyone.
You've said this before. But here you are, like an idiot, falling for my "trolling".

I stand by what I say. I like what the Cowboys have done so far. I am disappointed about losing Gregory, but I do believe there was just as likely a chance he would have been just another overpaid overhyped player.

Yeah, who wants to win a SB like the Bucs and Rams did with their methods
To believe that the Bucs and Rams won SBs because of the way they spent in FA is stupid. Both teams had the talent base to justify overpaying for the key pieces they needed. The 2021 Cowboys were anything but that. The 12-5 record speaks for itself. 6-0 against the pathetic NFC East, 6-6 against everybody else. Didn't beat any team of importance, ran up the score against bad teams.

But the good news is that we do have enough of a base to build on for the future. Stay patient and don't listen to the dullards who only care about free agent fantasies.

Is this a joke thread:huh:

The Cowboys have done jack so far other than trade their #1 WR for a bag of Doritos, let their starting RT just walk for nothing, got punked by the Broncos after they announced they resigned their starting RE, and have not even sniffed at a legit FA.

That is what, 3 starters that have left and nobody of any significance signed to replace them. If the OP really loves the moves this team has made, he is like in the 1% of the entire fan base that does. 99% of this site and most other Cowboy sites on the internet absolutely hate the moves so far.

It's not a joke thread. It's the best thread you've read in a very long time.

All 3 players you speak of, while certainly not easily replaceable, we're not the players the Dallas Cowboys we're going to build their future around. Cooper, Collins? We will get close enough production this season from our WR and OL groups for far less money. Gregory, OTOH, chose not to return.

This idea that you are among the 99% on this is an illusion. You're falling for hype and names on paper. Why not wait and see what another entire off-season, another year of defensive players under Dan Quinn has to offer? It's ok to take a wait and see approach and to stop listening to the pundits and CZ goofballs who don't know what they are talking about.

Yes, these moves we should have a top 7 pick in the next draft after this coming season.
What are you basing that on? The myth that the only way for a team to win the Super Bowl is to crash and burn their salary cap and mortgage future draft picks? People love to point out the success stories of the last 2 SB winners, but when do you hear about the teams that went all in and didn't get the Lombardi?

Listen, no one is saying get out here and spend like a d— drunken sailor, but to not shore up your weaknesses is sure sign to repeat what has been happening for years. WE GET IT, NO you don’t have to spend like the Pats last year but FA is for taken care of some things because if you are putting all of your eggs in the draft Good luck with that. You are not going to nail every pick that is a guarantee.

Actually there are lots of Cowboys fans right now advocating for spending like drunken sailors. But putting that aside, let's see what happens over the coming weeks and months.

Yup. I love the moves. About time we started thinking about the future. If it causes us to lose this season, so be it.

I honestly don't get what people expect. Were bringing in veterans to mix with young guys. If the pats made these signings we'd call them geniuses. If you don't trust the front office because of the last 26 years I get it. But the moves we made aren't terrible.

If anything it tells me JJ is finally smartening up and not overpaying players. He's been too loyal in the past and it has hurt him. Maybe he finally see that. If he could go back I doubt he'd probably even re sign zeke.

The only people that should love the moves so far, or actually the lack of moves are people that want to see Dallas fail.

Complete opposite. The only people who hate the moves are not interested in winning.

Not true. In fact, talent acquisition is the least of the Cowboys' problems. The culture that the Joneses have created is a much bigger problem. The sense of entitlement, the constant hype and marketing, over-exposure to the national media, all things that have contributed to the lack of discipline, players being distracted. Last season, this whole team bought into the media hype of being a SB contender before the Broncos handed their ***** to them.

A lot of talk from Cowboys fans about us needing to acquire more talent, very little about changing the losing culture.

Oh I completely agree with your points on the culture but I also don't believe that it's possible in today's NFL to basically completely draft a team that can win the Super Bowl with the only addition being average free agents. This ownership is flawed on so many levels and it's sad that it will most likely never change
