Jimmy had a way of motivating the players and coaches around him, he was always confident, and it rubbed off on the team.

In an interview once, Jimmy said that Jerry told him, I can make an oil deal and make 10 million dollars and no-one would ever know, but if we cut or sign a player, the cameras and lights come on....that's what Jerry wanted the facetime on TV, and eventually Jimmy got sick of it and the rest was history.
