Meanwhile, McCarthy is somewhere smashing watermelons getting ready for the season.

Before anyone even says it. He is NOT coming back. But I do miss him.

Stevie would rather bring in Shottenheimer's untalented kid than bring in in a real game changing asset to the organization like Jimmy.

I would still run through a wall for Jimmy.

Many of his players and people in the biz say the same.

as I said in the initial post...

Johnson still provides (in that format) good analysis and coaching insight on "FOX NFL Sunday".

The "breakup" has been covered ad nauseum. No matter which man you favor \ despise in the cessation of the arrangement -- the second head coach in franchise history needs to have his contributions recognized- and thus his name placed in the stadium for all to see.

Yep I do.....he would not be able to sell his act this long.....and wouldn't have decided it was so easy that he could easily do it himself.

I often ask myself if I would trade the early 90s for a different situation now.

It's been a no for quite some time but it's beginning to get to where this is too much of a price.

Appears he is speaking to high school students - both young women and young men...anyone can provide the information about this speaking engagement?

It's interesting to see this clip - Johnson has a book coming out this fall titled Swagger.

Jimmy would never have bought into this 2 te offensive Scheme and stuck w it forever.

Neither would Tom Landry. He did some sdupid stuff like that prevent defense but he didn't stick w it for 2 decades.

We were lucky to have had him. Imagine if Jerry's first choice had been Barry Switzer?

Well in all fairness, Switzer won one Superbowl as a head coach and may have won another one if we didn't get robbed by the refs in that championship game against the 49ers.

With that said, I believe Jimmy would have led us to probably two or three more rings.

Bozo the Coach was the *reason* we lost. Unsportsmanlike Conduct on a HC in a Conference Championship. Just incredible. Who does that?

The day they announced Jimmy was out, I predicted we'd lose in the NFC Championship. And Bozo made it happen.

Definitely miss Jimmy. Would’ve been nice to have kept him for another decade or so instead of the abrupt divorce that transpired after back to back championships! Then the ensuing 28 years of a bumbling idiot.
