Cheaper than 22 mil a year. Metcalf and AJ Brown are still on rookie deals maybe a year left

Yeah. And then both will be looking for much more. That’s why they’re available.

If it's a low round pick then fine you get 1 year, and if you choose to resign the first year or 2 can be manipulated in your favor so you get 2 maybe 3 years out of it

There’s no way you’re going to spin this to be a good idea. Save yourself the effort.

The deal is that they didn't want Cooper and they are looking at all options to replace him either by trade or the draft.

I'm not trying to spin anything, if your stuck in 1 emotion the. There's no way for you to see the bright in anything, bottom line our wr core sucks so don't complain next year when it shows if they don't make a move

I'd complain far louder if they were stupid enough to trade valuable assets to then have to pay top of the market money to keep a wide receiver. Been there, done that.

The smart teams are realizing that wide receiver is the most plentiful position in the draft year after year. That means that you don't pay top of the market for a commodity that isn't rare. It's precisely why the top two receivers in the league just got traded. Their teams are smart and realized this. And it's also what Tennessee and Seattle are realizing, and why these two names might be available. If you want to stick your head in the sand and follow the lead of the Miami's and Oakland's of the NFL world, you go right ahead. Not for me thanks!

If you want to put your stock and hope in an unproven commodity then fine. But that's not guaranteed either. It's not that valuable if it's a low round pick ESPECIALLY if it's a comp pick

he was right about Collins MONTHS ago. He was right about Cooper also. He made it very clear what was happening with both long before it happened.

If it was supposedly obvious that the plan was to trade Cooper 2 seasons later for a 5th round pick the moment he signed his deal why should Fish get credit for a few months?

Wait.

Now you actually think that the teams are trading these guys for mid-round comp picks?

Just stop it already.

Both will cost a 1st at minimum. Brown I am guessing would be a 1st and a pick somewhere between the 80's and 120's. Metcalf might be more because he has put #1 production and has been an All Pro. Although Brown does play in a lower volume passing offense

This is so dumb. You just should have kept Amari Cooper and called it a day.

Jerry Dumbo GM Jones does not draft Randy Moss, then makes horrible wasted no.1 draft picks for Joey Galloway (never a Pro Bowler), Roy Williams (no.2 on a 0-16 team), and finally gets it right with Amari Cooper then trades him to play with one of the best young QBs in the league.

Arlington Jonesboys are the laughing stock of the NFL.
