Still loving and believing in that stat line I see.
Believing that Dak will ever return to his running days is a fools errand at best.

I don't expect designed runs like they did early on in his career but I do expect to see him take off and run as the opportunity presents itself.

Stat lines are all they have and clearly all they care about.

If they cared about actual success they wouldn't be such Dak homers.

You have guys on here hating on Joe Flacco for leading his team to a 10-5 playoff record, had the greatest run ever for a QB in NFL playoff history, a Super Bowl MVP, and was never a one and done in the playoffs. BUT, because he don't have pretty stats in the regular season they believe he stinks.

This, my friend, is where the once proud Dallas Cowboys fanbase has fallen to. Do you remember when Cowboys fans demanded post season success? I do and I miss those days. They are now satisfied with pretty regular season stats.

Most likely yes. He's had a devestating injury and came back only to have nagging injuries affect his game. Add that the talent from OL to wr, to RB has diminished I think the offense will still be a little above average but you'll start seeing a steady decline.

Defenses usually adjust to a running Qb after 1 year, unless you got a unique talent that’s in Baltimore right now, who has an incredibly gifted release and can get the ball out quickly, unlike our slow-wind up QB,..

I think Dak peaked before his now-healed ankle injury cursed his progress. I hope that injury will be overcome this year to a point of his being back to his old self. If not, he'll be obliged to make up for said handicap by finding ways to improve his recognition of the downfield opportunities. Dak's delivery time would surely be enhanced if that were to be the case. Of course, better pass protection from his OL mates would contribute to that cause, too. Reading defenses in a more expedient manner would serve him, also. A QB coach must dutifully help him to fulfill that need if this offense is destined to peak.

How embarassing that someone thinks that breaking all kinds of Cowboy's passing records and finishing top 5 in multiple passing categories does not equate to "elite passer"

Some mythical measurements must exist that I am not aware of to attain this label.

He takes easy yardage better than lots of guys and usually refuses to throw into tight coverage. The way the league is now, that will result in plenty of yards gained and few interceptions. Against top defenses that will result in lots of 3 and outs and late game heroics against the prevent.

What I learned last season was it doesn't matter how good we are until about December. The rest is window dressing and false hope, until proven otherwise.

Hard to believe beating bad teams by 30 doesn't translate to being any better against good teams. We didn't just win the games we were supposed to, we destroyed those teams. Unfortunately the moment someone hit us back we fell apart.

Probably the best post of your life!!!!!!! Nothing but facts, the bully got bullied, seems like we never have an answer like OH WE WEREN'T EXPECTING THIS, we went in this game with one game plan, and no plans to change it when teams attack us better than we planned

Before we jump to conclusions and close the book on Dak let see what an off season of hard work and not having to rehab a serious injury will give us .

Also lets hope the front office fixes the Oline before the season or all bets are off . Nobody is going to be successful with the pile of crap Dak had in front of him at the end of last year .

That said I still stand on the fact that if he has open safe running room in front of him and wont use his legs anymore to help the team the Dak Prescott era is over . Without the intangibles, he is limited and often becomes a liability .

He must return to the old Dak that would do everything in his skill set to move the chains or it is time to move on IMO.

Except Joe Burrow, who got to a Super Bowl (and almost won) behind possibly the worst offensive line in all of football. So there’s that.

Dak ‘peaked’ as a system QB, that still sucks against zone. Daks entire career what’s been inflated by the facf defenses played man so much, because they were scared of the OL and RG. When teams did play zone, his weaknesses are always exposed, which is his inability to process the field and throw against zones. It’s why even last year Dallas was amongst the worst teams in third And long situations even when their offense was ‘hit’ from what I recall.

The more the OL and RG stop averaging 5 YPC, the more defenses can just sit rushing 4, the more Dak will be exposed.

Guess who had half the rushing yards and a TD vs. San Fran ;)

You're mightily proud of that loss, aren't ya?
No, why would I be proud? I'm a Cowboy fan, if it makes you emotional that fans of the team have a different opinion (while citing facts) than your hatred and tunnel vision, put me on ignore.
You have a warped sense of reality and a severe inability to talk like an adult.

It doesnt take as long as you think to acquire a real franchise QB if you really focus on how to obtain one.
Doesnt always have to be by drafting one,, just look at who has one the past 2 SBs and how those FO's built and payed at the appropriate time.

both the bucs and rams have struggled with finding a qb for over a decade. and both found themselves in situations that rarely present themselves. granted with the russ and deshaun situations as well it does feel like it’s more common, but i highly doubt we see much more activity on the premium qb market for a long time

You just seem giddy about Dak having a few rushing yard in a loss, that's all.

The best year of his career is still his rookie year. Incredible efficient. Highest QB rating of his career. Rushing for 21 first downs and 6 TDs. All around stellar performance in a sustainable and repeatable offense. His rushing production dropped all the way to 7 first downs and 1 TD last year. He is a fine QB. Around the 10th best in the world. One of only 20 or so humans capable of playing QB in the NFL. Will he end up being a 40 million dollar empty stat machine or will he power he team into the playoffs. Only time will tell. Last year was not a good start IMHO. Fine regular season. Did a big old pee pee in his diaper in the playoffs.
