I don't care what Gil Brandt means to Cowboys history.

His comments were rude, insensitive, disrespectful, hateful, ignorant, and downright stupid.

He embarrassed himself and the entire organization. Can't wait for the cheesy apology that's in the works.

Awful comment yes but was he wrong? If we are really honest who goes jogging on a highway?

The bottom line is Haskins is dead, and it's way too soon to be picking apart his decisions. How would Haskins' family and friends feel hearing or reading things like "he should have known better?" It's distasteful and disrespectful; and Brandt should have known better himself. Especially on the radio or wherever he said that.

Dez Bryant earning big respect on Twitter today, calling out certain media.
not sure I agree but let him vent. Getting pissed at Scheffter for saying he was struggling? I cant see whats wrong with saying that.

It wasn't the truth, genius. It was an old man making assumptions.
the fact you bring up his age as a pejorative says something about yourself Jake, maybe anyway But I do agree that people need to be nice and respectful about this situation.

Hold on. Full stop.

If what Mr. Gil Brandt said turns out to be true (the way Dwayne Haskins was always living on the edge or even getting run over and killed for jogging on a highway), how can anyone blame Mr. Brandt for saying what he said?

Yes, because getting hit and killed by a dump truck is living on the edge. Some of you are straight cold hearted.

There is probably some validity to what he said. During his time with Washington I seem to remember a few stories coming out. It wasn't anything major, but I dont believe he had a history of making great decisions.

That said Gill should've known how insensitive his comments were and now isn't the time. There are people mourning. No need go pour salt in the wound.

Besides that Gill needs to have his facts straight.

Calling a person aged 90 "old" is not a pejorative. Unlike Gil's "jogging on the highway" assumption nonsense, calling him old is just a fact.

LOL hilarious, a thread of people that would have demeaned and HAVE demeaned Haskins, calling him trash and lazy. Now suddenly, when in death, we should pretend to be above this.

Who are you folks trying to impress?

Would your friends and loved ones want you raked over the coals, at the news of your demise?
