Jones Four pillars of running the Dallas Cowboys

The Joneses have said for years that there are four pillars to the family business of running the Dallas Cowboys: Tradition, Competition, Business, and Entertainment.

For Cowboys fans, winning football games is a simple matter of black and white. But they’ll likely be seeing red as the billionaires who run the silver and blue once again seem hell-bent on demonstrating that they care most about the green.

So any press conference that doesn’t directly address increasing wins and reducing losses will come across as tone-deaf at best.

Their complete lack of even attempting to get better combined with them surely announcing something that will just make Jerry more money only means more disappointment for fans with this tone deaf decision.

Right, as at this point. Fans want positive news about a FA signing, especially at OL. Yes, the draft is in 2 weeks, but fans want positive action toward getting better.
Not news about a new sponsor, or a new piece of art work, or some event coming to the Death Star.

Fans need a good FA signing, which we know this is not about.
Only other thing that will make fans happy, is Jerry is stepping down, and they will hire a regular GM, not Stephen. However, if a new GM (which it is not about) they should have done this before FA.

This will be some fluff as I said, some event, art crap or a sponsor.

I’m looking forward to see our newest investments I can make. Hopefully it’s a company I’m already invested in and this will spike it.

I decided years ago to get in on the action . If you can’t beat them , join them.

Every owner is in it to make money. Isn't that why we work, to get paid. Would you work for free? If so, PM me, I have a barn that needs to be cleaned.....it's full of crap and can use a good shoveling....
Glad to see our Jethro supporters have joined in. We are all so proud of your support for our owner. He’s doing a great job. Lol

I bought some Comstock stock when they bought out a natural gas company in Houston. Bought and sold twice. Made ok profit. But this last time I missed out, and it went from $8 to $15.61 a share.
CRK is the symbol. Jerry is part owner.
I bought at 4, sold at 9, bought again at 6, sold at 9 again. Then sat for a year, probably less time, watching it around 7 to 8, then bought other stocks, and in the past month it went up.

So yeah, see what the new venture is.

What has the pitchfork croud accomplished in the last 26 years? Jerry and son are still running the team are they not? Our only hope is this team gets lucky one year and win it all. Sucks to be us, but that's all we can do.

Winning is far down on the list of priorities for these clowns.

I don't think winning is down the list of priorities. I just think that Jerry and his son are incompetent but their egos won't allow them to step back and let someone else take over. Jerry wants to be the one that brings the team back to glory. He doesn't want someone else getting all of the credit. It's the same reason for his divorce with Jimmy Johnson. Jerry couldn't stand that Jimmy was getting the credit. If he hired a GM and the Cowboys won a Superbowl then it would be a shot to his ego. In his delusional mind he thinks that he can get it done and doesn't think he is the problem.

Why wouldn't I support him, he owns my favorite team and I can't fire him.....Jerry haters, Zeke haters, Dak Haters etc....it takes a village! Lol
We’ve been thru this all before. We can’t fire many leaders of business we still patronage but that doesn’t mean we approve how they run the business.

I suppose you still love our country without always supporting our leadership as well.

I know you’re smarter than that. We don’t have to support all of the moving pieces to support the sum. C’mon.

I’m not even sure he believes he can get it done. But it doesn’t matter cause fans are still lining his pockets regardless the product he produces.

No, he just wants to play with his ultimate toy and live his dream of being a football guy. And we the fans continue providing him the means.

If it's anything other than something that effects the wins/loses of this team then this organization should face major backlash from the fans. They won't, but they should.

I waved my white flag years ago. There’s really no reason to take this franchise seriously anymore when it comes to football . It’s all about the entertainment value. It’s amazing we’re competitive at all.
