Colt Brennan also wasn’t nearly the caliber player Tyron Smith and Zach Martin were coming out of college. He also played at Hawaii hardly a hot bed of college talent.

The comparison to T Smith and Martin make no sense. People making them are just trying to make themselves feel more confident in what is an extremely risky pick on a very raw but talented kid.
Not only that Colt was a 6th round pick, his resume couldn't of been that great.

Nakobe Dean would be nice to sneak and get in the 2nd. I hope they don’t abandon defense early….

They need an edge player more than a LB.

You feel good about a DE rotation of Lawrence, Fowler, Armstrong and Golston? It’s so shoddy they will have to play their best LB at DE again just to get any pass rush.

I don’t but I don’t feel good that any of these guys can come in right now and contribute. I feel Dean fills a need and comes right in and start.

Since we play a lot of nickel D and Kearse can play in the box, the need at LB isn’t as great as the need for a pass rushing edge player. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be looking LB but DE is a bigger need IMO.

Even with Parsons last year this team was middle of the pack in pass rush and they lost Gregory and replaced him with a worse player in Fowler.

DE is a bigger need than LB.

I don’t disagree. I’d love a DE but I don’t see a DE left that comes right in and start.

My 14 year old daughter said we drafted Forrest Gump after hearing about his legs having to be adjusted. News to me...Hope he becomes a great Dallas Cowboy one day! Welcome aboard Tyler Smith, give it all you got!!!

I don’t think Dean just automatically starts either. Again, we play a lot of nickel and I suspect Parsons and LVE eat up a lot of those snaps and they seem to love Cox assuming he is healthy.
