I was going to put “obviously we don’t have any Super Bowls to show for” because I knew that was going to be the first thing you threw out, per everybody who argues against the Cowboys.

Nothing in your post mentions winning Super Bowls. You hinted that we take notes from the Eagles regarding drafting. But just like everybody who puts up a weak argument against the Cowboys and starts losing, you bring up the whole last Super Bowl bull****
We are one of 3 teams that havent one anything in 26 years. This front office aint good and i could do better

Not sure you are aware of who our qb and current franchise player are, but they were taken on day 3.

The guy people are ruing that we lost to Cincy....undrafted.

Randy Gregory, rue extroidinaire, 2nd round pick.

Stop being miserable.
Dak should have been a day 2 pick great value that jerry didnt even want to pick lol we got lucky i loved dak coming out.

Lael was a first round talent that went undrafted cuz his ex gf was murdered and he was questioned.

And randy gregory are u frickin serious. He played like 15 games in 6 years with meh production.

if hurts is similar to Dak, then they are surronding him with alent, building a strong defense and have a better chance than us....they won the superbowl with Nick Foles, who was a nobody, and then afterwards, became a nobody. they also have two first round picks next year.
Foles was a nobody w/ good passing skills. Hurts has terrible passing skills. Mountain of difference.

A person's innocents is not determined by whether or not criminal charges are filed. MLB obviously came to the conclusion he was guilty. They're not obligated to care what the legal system does. What are they going to say Joseph is guilty of? Bad optics? I guess they can accuse him of that all encompassing charge of actions detrimental to the league. Using the video of the fight. But how much is that worth?

I think way too many people get too caught up on whether or not charges were filed. No league has to care. They come to their own determination of your guilt based on their investigation. Let's not try to compare DV cases with this case. I don't believe Joseph was even accused of anything. Before one can come to the determination of wrongdoing, you must first be accused of doing something wrong. Lets get there first.
There are a mountain of things you can do that are not illegal that would get you fired from your job. The legality of it is irrelevant.

Imagine big beefy Vince Wilfork lining up in the middle of that Patriots dynasty defense. QB drops back, starts to roll out to his right, nothing there, so he books it to the sideline to pick up the first down. How comical would it have looked if big Vince tried to chase him down? Rumbling, stumbling, bumbling...

giphy.gif

Jordan Davis is 40 pounds heavier than Vince Wilfork, and 150 lbs heavier than that QB he just ran down.

It doesn't even look real, like someone took a highlight of JJ Watt or Aaron Donald and superimposed Jordan over it. Dude ran a 40 yard time better than Pat Mahomes, Dak Prescott, or Jameis Winston....
Theres no doubt that he's a beast. It'll make for some good battles in the future. I think he would've provided more for us than he does for the eagles who were already cool at DT with cox. If we had stout DT play we would smother teams defensively.

Maybe the idea is for the first time in his career, Cox isn’t going to be double teamed anymore

The man on the right is the size of an average human being.

The man in the middle is first round defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, who is the exact same size as Tyler Biadasz.

The man on the left is 360 lbs. Look at the difference in their thighs. Also notice Devonte at 315 has a bit of a gut/love handles, and Jordan does not.

“I’ve never had one like him,” Smart said via ESPN’s Chris Low. “Even Terrence Cody [at Alabama] was different. Cody had a sloppier body, but Jordan doesn’t have a lot of body fat. He’s 6-6, and we tell him that if he’s in the 340s, he’s dangerous.
Jordan Davis is a Beast. Philly was the last place I wanted to see him go. I'm surprised he stayed on the board as long as he did.

Dak better be playing out of the Shotgun js That guy is gonna be a Differencemaker

With the addition of Dean, and the their run defense, and our offensive inability to do anything if the run game isn't working, I'd give Philly the edge right now even with Hurts at QB. We are worse than we were last year, and they are better, so at the very least they are closing the gap. And we weren't very good last year. If Philly gets a QB, they will be a contender.

It's hard to say. People get so excited by the draft as if they know how any given player is going to be on the field when it matters. Show me someone who claims to have correctly predicted every success and every bust and I'll show you a liar (because some team would be paying them an extraordinary amount of money to scout for them).

It's more than just the draft too. There is so much that goes into a season, like team cohesion, coaching, etc. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of paper champions crowned this early in the season. I think that people forgot just how much the Cowboys dominated the East last season. Did they get a little worse and the other teams a little better? Likely. They still have a long way to go. Not every draft pick is plug and play instantly.

Yes, actually, and it’s bizarre:

He’s fine. Howie theorizes teams were scaring each other into not taking him. The shoulder has healed enough that he’ll be a full participatant in rookie minicamp in a few weeks, won’t need surgery.

Something may come out of that minicamp as far as medicals, but right now they expect him to be ready for everything.

Nakobe said he couldn’t believe the stories coming out of why he’s slipping, it was all news to him, and not one team ever mentioned they thought he needed surgery:

He said everyone was fine with his recovery

It’s sad how rumors snow ball but I think teams were scared off by him not working out. Then again Drake London did not run his 40 and was picked 8th.

At least on paper it looks like the Eagles have done enough to be NFC East favorites. But that's why they play the games, as the saying goes.

The Browns went all out to protect Watson, check out his base salary for this year. It's 1M. That means even if he's suspended the entire year, he'll only lose 1M.
I know and it shouldn't have been approved by the league..its collusion..they can reject contracts with structures like this..

I know their stories.

I was just addressing the "we get no production from the back end of our drafts" comment.

You don't have to sell me on why we parted ways with Collins/Gregory/Cooper. I'm ok with it. I'm just being pragmatic about my expectations based on these upgrades. If all goes well, and I mean everything, we'll be slightly better than last year. There's a big question mark with Joseph and who we get in rounds 4 through 6.

Why would they give Joseph a year suspension? For hangin' out with the wrong people?
If we draft someone, they’ll suspend Joseph. Watch.

Jordan Davis is a lot of things, being a feared pass rusher is not one of them.

He doesn't have to be to get those results. He's a sasquatch playing 1 tech. He will occupy our C/G on every snap. Tyler Badass can't take him on by himself and it isn't even fair. You can see how that would allow for a better overall pass rush, right? Even if he's not the one putting pressure on Dak.

I just don't think he will be on the field on 3rd downs and will be gassed quickly on obvious passing situations where we are in a 2 min.

Philly got a lot better, we will see how much better.

It wasn't 3rd down I was worried about. If we're at 3rd and long, who cares if he's on the field or not? But I'm talking worst case scenario for us. Maybe he does get gassed easily. Maybe he eats himself into a happy stupor. Him and Dean are great picks on paper, lets see how it plays out. Because there's a black cloud for every silver lining.
