Big Badger guy here,...the biggest,...so shut up and LISTEN! Ferguson is an o.k blocker,..but he is known MUCH MORE for his pass catching ability. Nice hands,....goes up for the ball,...just finds ways to separate and get open. Cagey player. He is also former head coach and AD Barry Alvarez grand son. Good player.
I would rather took a playmaker in Isaiah likely

Glad we are snatching players off the National Championship Badger team.

He's really Schultz-ey. Schultz was a good blocker at Stanford, but got by on effort and NFL-level athleticism. When the competition kicked up a notch and he lost the athletic edge, he just became an effort guy who lost a bunch. I think Ferguson is in the same boat.

Maybe. I thought Schultz was a better blocker two years ago, but defenders figured out how to beat him last year. It's up to him to watch tape and learn how he was being exploited and fix that.

The fact that the Cowboys didn't go corner in the 4th round leads me to believe they feel pretty good about Joseph playing this year.

Make of that what you will.

I think its a good pick. Schultz was a blocking TE coming out of stanford. And schultz cant block and does nothing special in the receiving game. Schultz is ok but easily replaceable.

Ferguson was a good pick.
Yeah, Brugler said this draft had a bunch of Schultz type TE's, this guy can catch too.

Saw some film on him and he is not going to pancake anyone, but he does position himself and screen off players on running plays, so that is all you need to do. Witten did that a lot.
That’s the key
You aren’t getting a TE in the 4th that can block like an OT
It’s just about screening the guy off and keeping him out of the play

Trying to be the smartest in the room and “liking our guys” is on full display if they actually draft 4 guys in the 5th. Easy way for them to fill out the roster and to continue to not pay any real talent
They are going to have a hard time fitting 5ths and a 6th on the roster

I’m saying everyone else is saying he’s an excellent blocker
He is,....just NOT what you would expect for a Wisconsin guy. A normal WI TE blocks like a tackle....LOL Kid can block,....VERY good receiver though.

Ive seen every game he's played in as they happened....a few in person as well. He's a keeper. I wanted Kolar because I think he was just a bit more athletic but Jake was next on my list.
