A stronger NFC East is good for the Cowboys

We can only hope that the other NFC East teams have improved. I think it will help the Cowboys change their mentality. The NFC East has been a virtual cakewalk for the Cowboys recently and it seemed to help give the team a sense that they were better than they really were. Each time they would win by double digits and the team seemed to get the big head. And then when they went against better teams, the Cowboys almost always got out played and out muscled.
Having tough division games should help in changing that mentality and help them better prepare for games against other top teams on their schedule.

Washington should be more competitive w/Wentzie, while our Cowboys took a step back by moving on from Coop & losing Gregory.

I know Jerry' feeling the sting of Zekes contract. The Cowboys are still a good team, but the roster isn't as talented as last year. The Egals bolstered the pass rush w/Reddick, but still have many holes. Gnats, lol!

Yeah Jerry is comfortable as long as he’s winning the East. Hopefully the Eagles smash us this season so we can make some actual improvements next off-season.

Why are you a fan?
Hoping something like this. One of the most insane posts I have read for a while, like since yesterday. It is that or trolling.

Ummm….because we’ll get a better draft position? Otherwise stronger NFC East teams just makes life harder.

Is what was posted not true? They only react when in trouble like the defense in 2020 and still would have taken the CB with a bad run defense.

The Joneses are all about “good enough”.

BS
That is just fans frustrated opinions.

They do try to improve, just not always competent at it as they could / should be. But they do try, much to the haters dismay.

NE cake walked through the AFC EAST for a decade without challenge. They won 11 AFC EAST titles in a row at one point from 2009-2019. And yet........

Gotta stop making excuses for this team.

I get your point, but if the NFC East wasn't so crappy we probably don't win it. So, not sure I agree with you

Agree. It also could make Jerry finally make the right moves to beat everyone, not just our own division teams.

Not true, not true at all.

In 09, the Jones stated unequivocally that they had no needs. That resulted in the ST's draft.

In 2012 when faced w/ a deep and talented DLine draft, the Jones stated that they had no needs at DLine.

Facts are your friends!!!!!!

It's simple, win the division and you're in the playoffs. Last season was a great example of exactly what we needed to do. We just need to go further once we're in.
But there's no reason why Dallas shouldn't be the favorite this coming season.

I don't subscribe to the pointless argument of it being a bad thing we won out in our division as if to say it's simply a weak division.

Washington - We beat them by 22 and 25 points. No team outside the division came close.
NYG - We beat them by 15 and 24 points. Rams & bears were close. Good company.
Philly - We beat them by 20 and 25. No team outside the division came close.

And also an example of what we still need to do, do a much better job as building a D that can stop the run. SF has a crapp O, they beat us only because they ran all over us.

That is 2 years of how many? And as I said, they are not that competent at times. Or however I put it.

Kind of sweet we got a little help at DT for a change.
