It's like you're not interested in winning.
How does my post make me not interested in winning?

Yeah Jerry is comfortable as long as he’s winning the East. Hopefully the Eagles smash us this season so we can make some actual improvements next off-season.
It is the goal though. Wins aren't as easy as having the luxury of not winning the division to get into the playoffs. It's literally the goal. This is a great point. We have to stop thinking like winning the East is our goal. The Eagles and Giants are not the competition. The goal should be to beat the Rams. Figure if we can beat the best teams in the conference, we should be able to beat the best teams in the division.
Regardless, the Cowboys did not get better in th e offseason no matter who they see as the competition.

Not true, not true at all.
In 09, the Jones stated unequivocally that they had no needs. That resulted in the ST's draft.
In 2012 when faced w/ a deep and talented DLine draft, the Jones stated that they had no needs at DLine.
Facts are your friends!!!!!!
Without it, we go nowhere. Teams aren't planning for the Super Bowl before they even win the division. It’s not the ultimate goal though. We’ve won the East many times over the past 25 years and that quarter century is still considered a massive failure.

I'm illustrating how teams operate and think. They're focused on the next game period. The division is the goal until they exceed that goal. I'm a fan, thinking big translates to zero. Then again, I'm not stuck in the negative mindset some fans are. On the outside looking in, you would never know this team won 12 games. It sounds more like 7 around here. Are you incapable of thinking big? I’m tired of aiming for division wins because “anything can happen in the tournament once you’re there”. The past 25 years have shown that’s not true.
The roster needs to be ready to compete with the top teams in the NFC. Having just enough to skate by the Eagles is a waste of time.
We can only hope that the other NFC East teams have improved. I think it will help the Cowboys change their mentality. The NFC East has been a virtual cakewalk for the Cowboys recently and it seemed to help give the team a sense that they were better than they really were. Each time they would win by double digits and the team seemed to get the big head. And then when they went against better teams, the Cowboys almost always got out played and out muscled.
Having tough division games should help in changing that mentality and help them better prepare for games against other top teams on their schedule.
You beat me to the punch. Homers will be homers. It's been such a cake walk that no team has been a repeat champion since 2005.
We have one good year when all the other teams are down and all of a sudden we're too dominate and soft because of it? lol
Giants won a super bowl and we got worst each time following.Yeah Jerry is comfortable as long as he’s winning the East. Hopefully the Eagles smash us this season so we can make some actual improvements next off-season.

You have to qualify to get into the playoffs, FFS, this isn't hard. Those wins amounted to nothing. You make too much of regular season success in my opinion as do most fans.

I read yours and G2's posts , and I think setting goal to win division is ok and normal. Are you incapable of thinking big? I’m tired of aiming for division wins because “anything can happen in the tournament once you’re there”. The past 25 years have shown that’s not true.

It appears that way when you start whining because people are discussing how we can get better so we can win some playoff games. How does my post make me not interested in winning?
