Gregory with his Chronic lungs will struggle in the Mile High air.

He will start of fast and fade down the stretch. The worst place he could have gone, he has no structure anymore,
That's... actually a legit point.

Anyone still complaining about losing Gregory? You could probably argue that we actually got Williams, Fowler, Armstrong, Kearse for the price of Gregory.

Its not even close for me.
Don't forget to remember that we have a developing Micah who might end up at DE.

This could be the anti Watt vs. Taco :muttley:

We get Williams as the Watt, they get Gregory as Taco, though not as bad.

And as the OP said, we get 4 players to 1 that will contribute in a big way.

I still don’t understand why we were going to sign Gregory to a 70 million (28 million guaranteed) contract. In one season and far less pass rush attempts Parsons almost matched his career sack totals. The Cowboys media and YouTubers act like Randy was Lawrence Taylor in his prime. Mark it down, the best move of the offseason for the Cowboys was Gregory signing with Denver.

Hold on now................What Sam does has little to do with Gregory's value. Gregory is either worth 15 million a year or he isnt. And we already saw what Gregory did in the playoffs and it was nothing. Now I fully admit he played against the #1 LT in football, but he still did nothing.

But what does Sam and Fowler have to do in order to give us more then what Gregory did? What were the numbers? 18 QB pressures and 6 sacks and 9 games played? Thats really all Gregory ever did here. Heck Armstrong had 5 sacks didnt he?

Well of course it does. If Gregory performs amazing as 12 sacks a year, but Sam keeps his pace then of course it would be great for us since we got the same production for less cost. But if Gregory is outperforming Sam and Fowler then the question becomes whether the drop in production is worth it.

I for one believe that Gregory will not be missed, but i also understand right now its too early to make that call.

He is a dumb player, the playoff game penalty got was proof of that. When things are going great he is dependable when things get rocky so does he.

What fans fear the most is that another team reaps the rewards for the term investment that we made with Gregory.
Wouldnt shock me to see the guy accomplish exactly what Denver wanted from him, just another one of those shaking your head moments.

Amazing (not really) how everyone is not that big of a Randy Gregory fan now.

It seems like yesterday we were still pretending he was a productive pass rusher.

ZaDarius Smith for 14 million. Or Chandler Jones for 17 million.

Fowler is a total JAG. It’s all on Williams’ shoulders to replace Gregory.

I'll take the guys they have now but only because Gregory was one of the most overrated players I've seen here and it would have been crazy to give him that contract.

Armstrong sucks. Fowler sucks. Williams has a chance to be good. He also has a chance to be a high maintenance head case.

We won't get less production this year from that spot. It's a low bar.

The whole thing is funny. Having a quality DE was so vital the Jones’ were willing to pay Gregory 70 million.

He bolts and suddenly the Jones boys think they don’t need to spend on the DE position.

The Gregory situation should have signaled to all that the Jones don’t really have a plan beyond signing their own guys, often for too much money.

They're only comfortable signing guys they've drafted because, and I can't stress this enough, they REALLY, really draft well all of the time.

More people trying to convince themselves that "the new guy is better than you ever were, Randy. Just you wait until I get my revenge body this summer. You'll be sorry you ever left me."

Getting those edge rushers is a task, and they go early so you better have some draft capital to spend.
Drafting Zeke or any RB with a 4th overall is a franchise mistake, thats when you have leverage to spend on a franchise position like Edge/LT/QB, but absolutely never burn that on a RB.
Moves like that are the reason you get left desperately seeking help at the vital positions.
