But Jones acknowledged Cooper had his issues and that Lamb has the makings of more a complete No. 1 receiver in “production, in the huddle and off the field.”

He’s a better #1 because he’s an upgrade off the field…? What does that even mean? Amari was a boy scout.

Something definitely happened last season that soured the team on Amari. Maybe it was the reported outbursts at Dak. Maybe the team asked him to take a pay cut. But CeeDee is a preferable option because he’s not making 20m$ a year, not because he’s proven to be superior on the football field. To outright say you prefer him over Amari implies there’s something more going on there.

I just wish Jerry would shut up. Take the personal issues behind closed doors.

And NO Ceedee is not an upgrade over Amari. Until proven otherwise.

CeeDee was way more productive than Amari last year. FACT.

Pretty much destroys your "Amari was more superior on the football field" narrative.

Amari had some circumstances last year as well; he’s played for 7 years, is only 27, and CeeDee’s best ever year is overtly better than… 2 of Amari’s seasons? The ones where he missed games. To outright say he’s surpassed him has to be about something more than just on the field production.

He crossed Darth Jerry and so was expelled from the order for a fifth round pick. That’ll teach him.

To add: Thats not to say that he didnt issues with Prescott. Maybe he did. Woulndt shock me. However there isnt anything remotely tangible about it

The most talented receiver in the league, arguably, and we are the second team who has dumped him onto someone else.

I told everyone there are things we don't know. There's also a reason no one wanted him.

When Cooper said that he'd like more targets he said it in the most non confrontational way. If that wasn't good enough for you then I don't know what is.
Good enough for me?
Why would that matter? I didn't care then and don't care now.
Good enough for Jerry? Who knows, but here we are.

Or maybe it was because he had 180yds total after the catch? And for your information that was dead last among all receivers with 800+ receiving. Take the Dak obsession to the “other” thread please.

He was also third on the team in targets, that strategy came from the front office so they can cut him at the end of the year and fans like you can point at his stats.

In my personal opinion, I think people are creating reasons. This was the year most people expected him to be out the moment he signed his contract. The rest is speculation and excuses. It's a 100% contract driven decision. Not only Cooper's, but it affects Dak's as well.

They need Cooper's monster cap hit off the books so that they don't have to push another 30M forward by restructuring Dak yet again next year. The rest is just gossip.

Agree with all but I think it’s even more
He’s on his 3rd team because of him
Not his talent and although you are right with your list I think it’s more about him as a team mate and his attitude because these issues weren’t there with raiders so it’s deeper
You could very well be right.
No argument from me mister.

Coop is an all star player, wants an all-star offense and QB to get him the ball, win games , etc. Last year was another big let-down, showing up small, blame the QB's ankle or coaches or whatever but I can see why a WR of his caliber would be unhappy,,,, that was embarrassing and predictable. Dysfunction and not rising to the occasion is the norm ,,, who wants to be part of that?
