Dak answered the question as he saw fit. In the end it is up to him and this team to prove it, claiming how he should have answered the question I don't get into that, that is how you would have responded he said what he felt and I'm good with that. Does not change the fact it will all come down to how they show it on the field of play. Had he responded the way you think he should have he still would catch hell by fans who will spin any comment as they see fit.

Why would Dak care about losing his 3rd favorite pass catcher? And to think he got a great young WR and another TE in replacement.

He can't just shut up. Talking to the press and answering their questions is a requirement. He is also considered the face of the franchise. That comes with additional media responsibilities most other players don't worry about
Not since he plays for the Cowboys, guess you're right, that's the only way they can make news unless you consider illegitimate children, player witnessing a murder or camera hijinks in the cheerleader dressing room.

That's the problem with this team, all they do is talk and make the news for the wrong things.

There is something phony about Prescott so I like him better silent. He's made the mistake of letting his real self come through a couple of times like right after that playoff game. Shame the ref didn't say "well, most NFL QB's know the damn rules about putting the ball in play and I am just glad those Cowboys fans were as inaccurate with their bottle throws as their QB was in that game".

The second year improvement of last year's rookies is enough to compensate for any perceived loss in talent.

There are at least four defensive players drafted in 2021 that should show some marked improvement, players like Osa, Golston, Kelvin, Cox, Wright, and Bohanna as well as Parsons.

The most improved area will be the one that needed the most improvement, defensive tackle. I am hearing good things about Gallimore, Osa, and even Trystan Hill.

Even a couple of last season's offensive rookies seem to be impressing the coaches, guys like Fehoko and Vasher..

Why, do expect Rush to play this season?
The results will be the same. No Super Bowl win from either of them, so it really doesn’t matter unless inflated stats against horrible teams is your thing.

The entire team will get lots of chances to prove what they are predicting at this early date.

Let's hope they live up to their positive notions of what they think their performance will be.

Be very certain they know there'll be a lot of work ahead, before they live up to their words.

Please people........I'm guessing we will get the same answer from EVERY player. It's called believing in your team/teammates. But you're going to have usual Dak critics blowing their horns.
The players really don’t have the option of telling the truth. It’s called keeping Jerry pacified. Jerry won’t admit to his failures with this team , so players better not point those failures out either.

Sorry…and I know I’ll get slammed but this quote is so Garrett like and it’s the part I think Dak needs to work on. It’s so cliched with the “men” etc and comes off as contrived because we hear it every year. I’ve never been a hater or lover of Dak but the cheesy quotes are too much. It’s like he gets a script daily sent to his inbox

I know what this team has and the men that they have and the coaches and the leadership. We definitely didn’t take a step back. We’re going to continue to get better and that’s what this offseason is about, and that’s what moving forward is.”
The guy is so robotic it's painful to listen to. In every aspect he's a fearful person, not just on the field.

Fair enough, but that is what my eyes tell me...
Not judging that, I like your posts here. I do know that it can seen differently sometimes. Think about basically living with teammates 24-7 vs. edited media content.

Last off-season, we were not labeled contenders and we destroyed our division and started off like a rocket. It was on pace to be record breaking. Then we took a turn. But the point is, we don't know. If more fans just enjoyed the hobby instead of acting like they're either on the payroll or the owner, things wouldn't seem as bad.

Thanks for the kind words G2.
I am sure we only see the tip of the iceburg as fans.
I hope we do well.
I do complain, but enjoy the season.
We all can speculate, but it's always fun to see what actually happens.

Just like all winning QBs but some get a little more luckier and the teams helps them to win.

you don't need to but if all your competition takes a step forward where are you at....

This seems to be the main thing that our team doesn't get. When you were already not as good as most of the playoff teams, you can't tread water while they use free agency to get better. It's hard to catch teams while running in place.
