Why should anyone care if Dak personally has a good season or not as long as the Cowboys are winning?

If Dak is having a 2020 type of season you would praise him? Would you praise him for throwing for 500 yards against the Browns while being down 41-14 entering the 4th? Would you praise him for throwing for 460 yards in a loss against the Packers with ZERO, yes ZERO, passing yards on 3rd down (yes, that happened)?

Stats without context are meaningless. If your pretty stats lead to nothing then who cares?

I think Dak having a good season contribute to wins, just as Parson or DLaw have a good season contributes to win. I agree stats do not win games, Dak could throw for 200 yards and if we win I'm happy about the win. Yet people like you would would spin it that as he was a non factor. For me the most important stat is winning, that is why I love to talk about all position on this team and what I hope to see from these players, my focus is not solely on Dak as it seems to be with you. You will started hundred threads all about Dak, any thread pertaining to another topic you throw Dak into it. You are obsessed with him.

So Orlovsky has 2 more win in the NFL that you and me? Fit him for a gold jacket right this instant.
2 more than Belichick and Jimmy Johnson too

Not that I fully agree with his list, but how he was as player is not the point. I think you know that and were just trolling for fun

"people like me" lol

Just because I don't hand out participation trophies to 6 years QBs that's lead his team to 1 Wild Card win doesn't mean I wouldn't be over the moon if we had actual real success.

The QB usually garner the most attention. Therefore is the most talked about. I'd suggest avoiding Dak threads if you don't like seeing people criticize his poor play.

Yes people like you, I don't expect you to cheer him but you constantly trash him. That is fine, you clearly are entitled to your views

I trash him when deserved.

I praised him the first 6 weeks of the season last year. I said he was the MVP up to that point.

Then Dak became Dak again. After the Pats game last season Dak didn't play a single game where he deserved praise from that point on. That leads us to where we are where we are now. In the offseason, with nothing but the last 12 weeks of the season worth of bad taste in our mouths.

All I know is that the biggest change the Rams made from 2020 to 2021 was getting Stafford and it lead to a Super Bowl victory.

I don't think Rams fans or players care one single bit about who is more responsible.

I don't think being a "with" QB has a negative connotation. But I think some people read it as being a negative. Teams win with good QBs.

Until Stafford wins with a team that is not loaded on offense and defense, I just do not think he is in the same category as Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes, Burrow, etc. He has been around a long time and only won when he got to the Rams who are a stacked team. Those other QBs came into the league and made their teams winners right away.

You're just going to have learn that not everyone is willing to praise mediocrity.

Everyone has not become as comfortable with it as you seem to have.

I expect better and will continue to expect better.

Never expected praise but do not expect the trashing he takes. Very narrow view to lump all problems on 1 man. But then again I do not expect those who are fixated on one position to understand the game of football.

I get that you'd rather the most important/highest paid position the the team be treated like everyone else, but that's just not the way it is and nothing will never change it. A certain level of importance/pay comes with scrutiny when you don't live up to expectations.

You have fans and media alike having W/L records for the the QB solely. You don't see anyone talking about Tyron Smiths W/L record, do you?

I guarantee if someone was on here talking up "Dak's W/L record" you would just pass right on by, maybe even give em a like, but you wouldn't dare call them out for attributing wins solely to the QB.

You say Dak and Stafford are equal talent and tell others they don't understand football. That's rich.

I don't care about the trash the media and some fans put out there. Fact is QB do not win by themselves, never have and never will. I think QB is an important part and his play goes a long way in winning and losing but the QB is very much dependent on those around him. He does not block for himself, he does not run routs and make the tough catches and only plays in about half of the snaps within a ball game as he does not play on defense. Half of the game is out of his control.

The same fans will lecture other's on what a great football mind they think they have.

Here’s my Elite list:

Josh Allen
Joe Burrow
Patrick Mahomes
Justin Herbert
Russel Wilson
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Matthew Stafford

Fixed.

Until Herbert does anything in the post season, he stays in pile #2.

D. Carr? LOL. Second group sure. First group LMAFO

Also, Jameis Winston NOT in the "win in spite of group"? Really? A guy who threw 30 Ints one season and missing the playoffs, just for the team that let him walk and win the SB the very next season?

Oh Dan ...

Jameis is to be determined.

I assume this list is about how good/bad Dan O thinks these players are now, not in 2019.

He might be reading too much into it, but I suspect he's looking at the more recent data.

Winston started last year off with 14 TDs and 3 ints last year before getting hurt. That was impressive.

And the Saints were 5-1 if I remember correctly.
