It’s OTAs. It’s not uncommon for players in contract disputes to skip all of the voluntary ones

As long as he shows for mandatory ones/TC who cares about this”incident”
Goes to character ……… just another greedy DC.

more then he's worth let him seek a trade, and see how much he's worth then take the draft pick for next year and do better, This season with all the inflation and gas prices you would be hard pressed to show me that going to watch these losers would be worth it. also he's a one trick pony so let him get upset who really cares not me when people every where are struggling to feed there families.

I seriously just don't see anyone paying him huge. Could be wrong.

Of course I'm not a union guy but, for the life of me, I've never understood how what someone else is making has an impact on whether or not I agree with MY salary.
Let me explain it to you, then. Salary cap.

Does that help?

I'd entertain the idea of trading him if he becomes a distraction during mandatory ota's / camp

But, but, but.....Dak can throw to anyone....he doesn't need any security blankets.

"I need to be better....I will be better"

Every QB needs players. Tom Brady went from looking finished to MVP level just by surrounding him with talent. No QB can win in the NFL with nothing.

Seriously, I love Schultz. However, this stupid salary dispute puts him in the greedy category. He wants 15 mil or something, I guess. Let him get it elsewhere. Which, BTW, I do not believe he will. I've seen several posters claim that he will get this amount elsewhere. Good luck, Schultzy.

I'd like to hope we learned our lesson on our last TE we signed to a dumb contract....these guys are becoming like WR's, no need to overpay for a guy like this

Which is sad. I'd love to see him stay here at around 8 mi/season. Good, hard nosed player. But, if it's true he wants elite money, time to move on. Bellychickens him.

Fine him. The guy can't block and they have already drafted his replacement for 2023. He is a not a longterm player that you want to pay big bucks to. If he doesn't want to play for ten million, screw him and let him sit out. I'd fine him the max and give the rookie as many reps as possible. I do everything possible to make Schultz pay for sitting out to send a message to others that they have learned.

Couldn't agree more.

Wow, do the agents know how to work this team over or what?

Any player in the league in the same situation would do this. The Njoku deal reset the market. Schultz's last two seasons have surpassed Njoku's best. His agent would not be doing his job if any other actions were taken

Why did he sign his tag then? He must have known if a deal wasn't done then he would play on a 1 year tag. You signed it, show up and get to work. Prove your worth what you're asking.

11 million to play ball for a year. What an insult! Food Stamps are next!
