How many of those guys did we pass on in the draft? Three or four?
To be fair, most teams passed on these guys.

But to answer your question....5 of them

  1. Trey Henderson (we took Jourdan Lewis ahead of him in the 3rd)
  2. TJ Watt (we all know this disaster)
  3. Maxx Crosby (we took Conner McGovern in the 3rd ahead of him)
  4. MICAH PARSONS ...home run Cowboys
  5. Yannick Ngogwe (we took Jaylon Smith in the 2nd and Malik Collins in the 3rd)
  6. Myles Garrett.....n/a
  7. Nick Bosa ...n/a
  8. Aaron Donald ...n/a
  9. Javonne Hargrave (we took Malik Collins ahead of him in the 3rd)
  10. Leonard Floyd (we took Zeke ahead of him so thats matter of opinion)

I never liked the LVE pick. Or should i say the vander trash pick. He had one good year but i dont think he was a playmaker tho

To me, the pick seemed like a reach when we made it, but he looked like gold by the end of the year. A young player with extremely limited experience making 2nd Team All Pro his first season. A thousand miles of upside as he grew in experience and maturity. Or so it seemed.

He made plays for us. Open field tackles that stopped drives. I expected him to put on weight and be our Monster of the Middle for years to come. But the other side of the pancake of "low mileage" is you don't know how well he would hold up to the wear and tear of football. Turns out not well at all. Too bad for him and us.

I hated the way he took on blocks in college for his size. He always played smaller than he was. And he only played real football for like 2 years.

As long as we don't overpay, decent player. Problem is, he's never stayed healthy. Hard to depend on someone plagued w/ injuries.

LVE stayed healthy enough last year. Every game, and 58% of defensive snaps. 7th highest on defense. Second only to Parsons for non-dbs.

I concede the point not only hasn't he been as sturdy as you'd like at LB, but I expect there will be more of the same in the future. But heseems to have turned the corner on his existing ailments to play at a high level. And we've seen that he has upside over what he showed last year.

We didn't and shouldn't have paid him 5th year option money. But 2mil is a steal.

Not a pounder. But size and length to cause problems for a QB trying to throw over and around him. Athletic enough to cover. Good open field tackler.

I thought he had room to grow into his body and with experience, he would be a force in the middle. I didn't know about the neck condition. That definitely made the pick more of a stretch.
