After taking a year off.Yep. He did that as a rook.
Man, I was hoarse yelling for Hargrave. Wanted him badly over Collins. And on the old site, we had a thread about it to see which turned out better. Site was shut down before I could win that one!!!!I wish you'd screamed louder so the Joneses would have heard you.
Throw in Kearse tooAnd every year bozos want to draft o lineman in the first round while we have bums at every level on defense. T diggs and parsons are the first playmakers weve had on the defense since d ware
He had a nice year last seasonLVE was a playmaker for a year.
He really was quite competent. Prolly took him a year to recover from the neck injury. Not a good place to get injured in the NFL, esp if you're a LB.He had a nice year last season
I have the same injury 30 years later still sucksHe really was quite competent. Prolly took him a year to recover from the neck injury. Not a good place to get injured in the NFL, esp if you're a LB.
To be fair, most teams passed on these guys. How many of those guys did we pass on in the draft? Three or four?
Truer words , dang jerry and MarinelliTJ Watt haunts this franchise
d law stealing moneyI knew micah was gonna be on here. And i knew d law wasnt
I never liked the LVE pick. Or should i say the vander trash pick. He had one good year but i dont think he was a playmaker thoLVE was a playmaker for a year.

But to answer your question....5 of them
- Trey Henderson (we took Jourdan Lewis ahead of him in the 3rd)
- TJ Watt (we all know this disaster)
- Maxx Crosby (we took Conner McGovern in the 3rd ahead of him)
- MICAH PARSONS ...home run Cowboys
- Yannick Ngogwe (we took Jaylon Smith in the 2nd and Malik Collins in the 3rd
Yes, I was a fan of Hargrave in that draft.I was screaming for Hargrave over Malik Collins.

As long as we don't overpay, decent player. Problem is, he's never stayed healthy. Hard to depend on someone plagued w/ injuries.LVE really did seem to come around at the end of the year. For the price, he was a *great* free-agent pickup.
I hated the way he took on blocks in college for his size. He always played smaller than he was. And he only played real football for like 2 years. To me, the pick seemed like a reach when we made it, but he looked like gold by the end of the year. A young player with extremely limited experience making 2nd Team All Pro his first season. A thousand miles of upside as he grew in experience and maturity. Or so it seemed.
He made plays for us. Open field tackles that stopped drives. I expected him to put on weight and be our Monster of the Middle for years to come. But the other side of the pancake of "low mileage" is you don't know how well he would hold up to the wear and tear of football. Turns out not well at all. Too bad for him and us.
