I'm on record in thinking that Zeke doesn't get 1,000 yards this year.

I believe the wear and tear combined with a more reduced role with Pollard will see to it.

Of course.

When you have "MountaineerCowboy knows all and I know nothing" as your sig for the entire offseason next year then all will know.
That works for me. Its a friendly bet. Doesnt bother me at all. lol. I hope you are ready for what I am going to come up with should I be the victor.

He will take one for the team and restructure if they have some success in the playoffs. And things looks bright going forward.
If not, who knows, maybe will will want to be released and go play for a true contender.

Restructure? He would need to take a pay cut. All a restructure does is kick more money down the road when Zeke will be getting older and less effective.

If the Cowboys want cap relief they either have to get him to take a pay cut or just cut him.

Unless he is injured he will be over 1,000 yards in a 17 game season. I hope to see better than just 1,000 yards in a 17 game schedule. Last season he avg just 13 carries a game and played on a bad knee for much of the season and still got 1,000 yards.

At this time last year we were talking about how lean he looked. This will be his last season with the Cowboys. Tony Dorsett played 11 seasons with the Cowboys and Emmitt played 13. It will only be 7 seasons for Zeke.

True, he looked in good shape and avg over 5 yards a carry up until he injured his knee.

he's gone after this year. RBs don't get faster and more explosive with age.

Could be, however he will make less next season than he does this season. This year he is 18.2 mill and next season 16.7. I think he is playing for this career in Dallas we will see how it plays out

If he was so hurt why was he playing against the Eagles practice squad with nothing on the line but getting over 1,000 yards in the last game of the season?

I believe the injury is being extremely overexaggerated personally and I believe the evidence, like what I stated above, proves that.

Because players will play injured, there was no question he sustained an injury and it effected him. Yes he could have sat on the bench and collected his pay but anyone who has played ball knows you will need to play through pain as a player. Coaching staff on the other hand can sit a player if they feel he should not go. You can believe as you choose

I'm sure it did, but just how much it affected him is being exaggerated by some fans I believe.

If you're hurt you're not out there in a meaningless game against a practice squad team a week before the playoffs.

Zeke sat out week 17 his rookie seasons when it meant nothing, so the whole "they're players and they want to play" thing don't really hold weight when there's evidence that healthy versions of them will sit out.
