He might be OK in certain situations / limited reps, but tbh if we were to sign him it means Tolbert is not ready.

You do realize Gallup is more than likely missing the first 4 games, right?

That means we have Lamb, Washington, Tolbert, Noah Brown and Fihoko as week 1 starters. And that assumes all players will not have any injuries during training camp and preseason.

1 year 1 million guaranteed with up to 4 million in incentives. What's the worst that could happen?
It does make sense. Quinn was once Jones’s HC in Atlanta. Although Quinn would not be Jones directly as he did for many years, if they still have a solid relationship, it might be worth Dallas just looking to explore.
he doesn't seem to be able to stay healthy anymore
Despite missing seven games w/hamstring issues last season, Jones still posted good numbers. His 11.2 yards per target was the best in the league, & he paced for nearly 1,400 yards over a 16-game slate. Nearly 32% of his receptions went for 20 or more yards. How's that for not being "able to stay healthy anymore"?!

Julio Jones is
- through
- useless

If YOUR personal intake on the player were true, he wouldn't remain one of the leagues best Wide Recievers ranked, 9th!

He’s pretty washed up and injury prone and would be a progress stopper for the rookie. He’s been a big disappointment in Tennessee. I would rather go with what we have and see how it plays out.

Jones is a FORMER best WR.
HIS last year in Atlanta he fell off the cliff - went from 15 games played to 9, 1400 yds to 770, a paltry TD number of 6 to JUST 3(!), and 1st down catches from 36 to 19.
Falcons traded him to the Titans - his play there was worse. Tennessee cut him after one year with him.

Hopefully Doogie Howser OC uses those games to find a real spot for Pollard in the offense with Zeke on the field.

Can't add Julio unless you really go heavy at wr. The back end receivers play ST, so if you cut them for Julio you've got to replace their ST snaps.

An aged-out, frail, receiver that can't get/stay on the field. What could go wrong??

What's the worst that could happen?

Really only need him the first 4 to 5 weeks of the season for when Gallup is still missing games.

If he's healthy for the playoffs that would be a huge plus for the offense.
Might as well bring Dez back for that lol. I'm sure Julio wants way more. There are younger guys available, like Fuller

Is he what we need to make sure we crush Brady in the first game? Asking for a friend.
That's Moore's department. You know, the offensive cordinator that was exposed a few tiimes last season!

Noah Brown would be more effective than Julio I bet. Especially his rapport with Prescott. Julio would be useless for 4 games.

And I am not a Noah fan

It's easy to say the Cowboys should do this, but signing a player, and doing so at a specific salary level, isn't just up to the team. Given the pay level Julio Jones is used to I doubt he would take even a second to consider this.

Besides, if he has declined to a point he isn't worth more than this he might end up a malcontent and a distraction because it's unlikely he would be happy with his usage.

Incentives can go up to $12 million and it's all production based. Guarantee shouldn't go above $2 million just based on injury history.

I'd take a flyer on him. If nothing else he'd be a great mentor for the Wr room.

Nah I would rather see them give Tolbert the playing time. Now if someone else gets hurt in TC, then fine. I would look into other guys.

2021 with Tennesee: 10 games, 31 catches for 434 yds = <44 yds/game, 19 1st down recs., 1 TD.
Titans released him at season's end.
