Exactly, and if Jerry will take the NT position more seriously, then maybe we will go further, especially on the road in the playoffs.
 
Ridgeway is my pet cat. He’s listed at 320. He doesn’t look like Adonis or anything, he frankly doesn’t look like a pro athlete at all. But he also doesn’t look like a fat guy yet goes 320.
Per his college tape, he moves really well, it’s a wrestler and mauler, and doesn’t stay blocked.
Total dawg with some nasty to his game. Doomsday throwback kinda player. Love it. Rooting for him.
But totally agree that the push right in the center is vital. Esp after we’ve watched playoff teams just run down our throats.

He's not a NT though. He's a DT/DE. NT are run stuffers only. Donald is way more then that.

They weren't NT though. They were typical DT. NT are for teams that run 3-4. That's why I don't necessarily get the Eagles pick. He looks like a NT to me and Philly runs a 4-3

Exactly, and he might be my favourite draft pick of the last draft.

4-3 does use some NT concepts though. They're referred to as 1T DTs. Still, the push in the middle is just as necessary.

Incorrect. 4-3 also has NT. The other DT is generally called the UT, or Undertackle.

Vea is a NT.

Id actually be interested to see everyone's rankings for most important positions top to bottom. I think we are all in agreement at #1 but we need to start a thread on peoples opinions on positional importance. Would be a good topic but I'm still a newbie here and can't start posts yet.

3. NT
4. WR/RB
5. LB
6. Reliable kicker.

I think you missed some. Like a K isn't more important then a CB. And, for example, a RG isn't anywhere as close to important as a LT. Same thing with LBer. A WLB isn't even on the same planet as a 3-4 OLB. Got to break your position groupings down a bit. Not nit picking brother but a DE is way more important then NT.

To me, NT is more so than a DE because a NT frees up room for the DE. But they and LBers work hand in hand.
