Since AT&T stadium is the home base, and it's located in Arlington Texas, then it goes that the proper name of the team commonly referred to as the Dallas Cowboys is really the Arlington Cowboys. You might call it blasphemy, I call it logic based on geography.

Besides, shouldn't the Arlington Cowboys EARN the right to be called the Dallas Cowboys? Just as Bill Parcells made rookies earn the star on their helmet, why not make this current franchise earn the right to be associated to the legacy of "America's Team"?
Uhhh…
No

Headquarters are in Frisco anyway

Fort worth is big enough to have its own football team. So is Austin. So is San Antonio.

I have lived in DFW all my life. Rangers and Cowboys are located in Arlington but the majority of their ticket sales come from all over the metroplex.

I call home base fort worth but I still think of the cowboys/rangers/mavs as my home teams. It doesn't have to be the fort worth rangers, etc.

If it makes your tears go down softer call them the Arlington Cowboys. Unfortunately nobody of note will follow suit.

What does having 1.000 posts or more tell ya? Or in other words, what accomplishment has been achieved when passing the 1.000 posts mark? I see alot of crap coming from people with 10.000 posts and more. Some people just copy / paste any tweet that is even remotely connected to the Cowboys for nothing more than attention seeking or stirring **** up.

Why stop there. Why not call the team the 1 AT&T Way Cowboys and maybe throw in the GPS coordinates.

It's all about marketing/branding.

The 49ers play in Santa Clara.

The Angels play in Anaheim but claim Los Angeles.

Again, prior to Arlington the Cowboys played in Irving.

I know it is the off-season but this is goofy with a capital G.

The Cowboys home offices and day to day facilities are in Frisco, Texas; not Arlington.
The Cowboys Stadium is only used for home games and little else team related.
Being in a Dallas suburb is still being in Dallas.

As to earning anything the team won the division and made the playoffs. That was hardly some bag over head disowning performance.

Professional and Business Services

As the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex’s third largest principal city, Arlington’s location, access, and visibility make it a prime destination for business and professional services... <snip>

...Located in the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Arlington is an easy commute from Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding suburbs – providing access to a civilian labor force of over 3.4 million.

Seems Arlington's official city government website considers itself as a suburb within the DFW Metroplex. Question is which city does Arlington associate as a suburb? Dallas? Fort Worth?? El Paso???

Asking for a friend. He has a big geography test soon.

Yes there's crazy stuff posted constantly but the Derrick Henry and Tony Romo troll posts are sualyyby people with less than 1000 posts. I guess you'd have to be here for a while to see what I'm referring to.
