That's why he walked, and the other two were arrested. I was trying to explain how that works, and many still don't seem to understand what it meant when Joseph was not placed under arrest.

They cleared him a long time ago. People just didn't want to accept it.

Just because a person of interest in a crime walks out of their attorneys office after a meeting with police a free man doesn’t mean they won’t be arrested later. There has to be evidence a person took part in a crime to arrest them.

Still seems strange KJ is clear that easy...I recall times when the whole car got hit with some type of charge. Let's just say if he was a regular dude from Dallas he'd probably be locked up.

The suspension will probably match Watsons. Goodell will see to it some punishment from league comes down.

I think the problem is we don’t really know what happened…..we don’t know what Joseph actually did or didn’t do. Because if he was there for the crime and knew about the crime….Cowboy status or not that guy isn’t just getting off without some charge….

No, that’s not how it works.

He was brought in for questioning as were others in an open investigation. People of interest are not always arrested immediately after a crime but after certain information/evidence is uncovered to substantiate an indictment.

If he was cleared outright they would have said so four months ago in April.

IN other news, Joseph will be suspended 6 games by the NFL for playing for the Dallas Cowboys and having his name linked to any event that appears to look bad.

Drive by shooting/murder is a real bad look, expect at least 8 games.

This is a subtly significant position. It essentially suggests that the Cowboys are comfortable w/what they've learned about the tragic incident, & that they are comfortable w/what Joseph has told them about it. Time to move forward. Glad it's over w/before the season.

What is the league suspending him for? Unlike the Zeke suspension there is no witness to say Joseph did anything wrong. More importantly Joseph has kept his head down since the incident unlike Zeke did.

Even “suspects” aren’t arrested immediately unless there’s evidence. There’s been people who’ve been suspects in a murder for years and were never arrested because the authorities didn’t have enough evidence.

Domestic violence against women was a very hot topic then, the league was getting killed, especially after Ray Rice, I think Zeke(even if innocent) was made an example of to calm the heat from Ray Rice

You really think it takes 4 months to investigate anything? Police say they're investigating for months, usually when it involves an officer, so they can placate the public. Or in cases like murder.

You honestly think it took 4 months for them to determine whether Joseph committed a crime?

If you honestly believe that, you may have your head in the sand. You probably also think it actually takes years to investigate officers for disciplinary actions too.

i don’t think Goodell is responsible for handing out punishment anymore. The NFL hired a independent arbitrator. I could be wrong.
