He just apologized. So, it's OK now?
bahahahhaha

That always cracks me up. I sentence you to 20 years in prison... unless you apologize to your victim, in which case I will reduce your sentence to 15 years. If you cry tears during your apology, I will reduce your sentence to time served... since tears would truly show me how sorry you are.

I have no problem with your view but mine is different than yours and maybe it isn’t to deep for most of us.
well, you clearly missed my point when I said UNLESS YOU READ THE REPORT. Do you think every person writing in this thread has taken the time to read that 15 page report?
And trust me when I say that some people who did read the report will gloss right over some important things in the report.

Just the fact so many people saying how the nfl is so unfair with this punishment shows how little people pay attention to the FACTS.

no, it means that I can accept what the actual CRMINAL JUSTICE system says vs a bunch of emotional people that bring their own views and experiences into things.
We are not dealing with criminal justice here you are dealing with a CBA that doesn’t allow this. The criminal justice is failing daily I hope the NFL does the right thing and that’s not a emotional take, it’s the right thing to do.

Isn't the NFL a part of society?
To whom much is given, much is expected.
The NFL is a business. I dont expect Businesses to be the place that sets the tone for all of us. I expect our legislature to be who sets the tone.
The NFL is a league of people that play a very violent sport. Those players come from some varied backgrounds. To hold the NFL to a higher standard than the rest of us is a joke IMO.

I guess I did, because I took it that comment was directed at me, my bad if that’s the case, I read it and came away with a different take and that’s ok it’s what keeps the world in balance.

Those were her words, you can jailhouse lawyer all you want and if you think doing what he did to 24 women who filed complaints and him paying them to go away is ok that’s on you and hopefully Goodell appeals this and Watson is out a year and can’t come back untit he gets help for his problems. You do know it’s not ok to force oneself on a women, but then again.
well thank you for proving my point about being a little too deep for you. Please go find ONE post from me.. just one, where I have said what Watson did was ok.

I have not seen one single poster say that what he did is OK. Where do you get that from?
its exactly what I wrote 15 minutes ago... people make crap up to try and make some point. I clearly have never said what Watson did was ok. He can not understand the difference between me tearing this apart and understanding this thing from what happened in the arbitration hearing and his emotional response.

If you have no problem with him playing because no charges were brought against him that’s the same as what he did is ok in my opinion. The problem seems to be the issue is too deep for you.

my comment about the CJ system had zero to do with Watson's hearing. The "right thing," according to..... you?

The league an the union agreed to have arbitrators hear these cases. I take the view that a retired federal judge heard the case. Read THOUSANDS of documents presented by the league and she came to a decision. I am ok with accepting her decision. Had she suspended him for a year, Id be ok with that. Had she said 2 games, Im ok with that. She was hired for a reason. She has far more experience in these things than you, me or Roger Goodell. What I am not ok with is saying yea, this arbitrator is a better way for these situations to be handled. Then when the decisions comes out people are screaming... well this decision sucks, appeal it!

I guess the best way to end this is to agree to disagree.

If someone says the punishment is ok or no criminal charges then no punishment should be given that’s the same as it’s ok imho.
Sorry, my good man, but that's a very strange viewpoint. There are many many things that are not OK to do that are not against the law, or if they are, very minor infractions. Different crimes have different degrees of punishment.

It's the opposite, dude. The truth appears to be too deep for you.

BTW, your little insult was completely unnecessary.

The right thing for the NFL is what makes them the most money. Once you realize that's the overriding factor here, the case becomes much easier to analyze.

Quit being ignorant. YOU SUPPORT ONLY A 6 GAME SUSPENSION BECAUSE YOU CLEARLY APPROVE OF ONLY A 6 GAME SUSPENSION.

Sheesh. Man up already.

You said society as a whole is responsible for addressing the problem. The legislature is a part of society just like businesses are a part of society.
And are you saying because we have structured violence in sport, the NFL should withdraw from advocating that its employees distinguish the difference between its version and structured violence and "senseless" violence?

Besides, people in the legislature come from varied backgrounds. People in societies in general come from varied backgrounds. Some come from homes where they witness abuse; some came from loving homes. Some had a single parent, some two parents.

Moreover, businesses have to be aware of their "publics." It's a factor in doing business in a capitalistic system. You promote something or don't promote something your publics/customers want/don't want, your business suffers. The NFL is concerned about its image. We don't live in the days when players could beat their wives, and the public doesn't get concerned about it.

And then there's corporate responsibility that says we have a responsibility to society to embrace what is right for society regardless of how it impacts our bottom dollar.

Again, to whom much is given, much is required. That's no joke. It's just holding people who solicit our business accountable for the values they say they stand for, for the good of society.

Yes, but it doesn't mean it's the morally correct thing to do. Money talks for the NFL, everything else walks. Yet, Badell did not feel that way towards Zeke and a few other players.

The NFL is crooked to the core. Period. No disputing that. We all see it. No reason to defend this crookedly ran NFL unless one approves of how crooked it is.

CLEV has a big nasty D and a top 5 ball control RB. They were 8-9 last year w/ terrible QB play. The D was 5th.

NE, BAL, MIA, those guys are not juggernauts.
