or how bout the Houston Texan's punishment? Didnt they just settle THIRTY cases with woman over this Watson case? Thats more than Watson settled with... yet weve heard not one word about what or if they will get any punishment.

Just my opinion, but in order for a team to receive punishment, they would have had to have wronged another team. Otherwise the league as a whole isn't going to care.

Yes he will. Just like Brady and Zeke the NFLPA will get injunctions. In the end he will lose but this will be a story all season long. Then the NFLPA will bring in the double standards for the owners. A mess!!!!!

They can't sue, and they won't sue. Similar to Brady and Zeke, they have to go through the union process first. That means an appeal. They can sue after the appeal. Do you think Watson is dumb enough to appeal this ruling? That would open up the door for Goodell to give him a year. Then if he loses in court, which he will, he gets a year suspension.

I don't have a problem with 6 games, dude already sit all of last year.

I have no problem with it either, but not for that reason. When you stay home with pay, that's called vacation. I'll gladly tell my employer tomorrow, If you allow me to stay home with pay for an entire year, you can suspend me 6 weeks the following year for no reason.

Do people just believe everything they hear because the title "expert" is used? People just shut their brains down and allow others to decide what you think because you believe they are smarter than you? The league isn't appealing this. He's getting 6 games.

various:

This is good on many fronts including basic fairness and serving the greater good.
Is air humping a massage therapist violence against women? Kinda sorta. And 20+ different women??
That is egregious behavior. It suggests he liked the shock factor and newness.
And doing so representing the NFL and the Houston Texans....

Six games for this is patently unfair to players who have lost millions of dollars and far more games in positions with far shorter careers.
If giving the league a black eye is punishable then this is far more serious than 6 games.
And given the guy sat out a year to force a trade and RAISE, it is truly insane to reach this verdict.

If this sticks the NFL has ZERO policing power going forward. It'll be as it is now with owners. Wasted energy investigation for a slap on the wrist.

All that said, Goodell is not the guy. They need a serious board of 3-5 people who can adjudicate this fairly. Not 1 guy/girl who has shown terrible judgment.

Which means the NFLPA will go find a friendly judge, get an injunction, and this will continue on with Watson playing in September.
Thats actually a good outcome for the League.
Worst outcome is accept this 6 games and let him prep then start week 7.
At least now you force him to get ready play a couple weeks to a month then sit deeper into the season.
Also means if you do get a full 17 games he is feeling this next year too. --which becomes leverage for him to accept whatever it takes to get this over with this season.

Yea, that point is basura. He didnt sit for this. Her sat to force a trade and a contract renegotiation which saw him paid a TON more money.
He is a QB and those guys can easily have 12-15 year NFL careers.
He not only did not lose money, he made a fortune GTD.

The rumors are the NFL will appeal the ruling to Goddell. Then Goddell will give Watson a lengthy suspension. Goddell will add on to the arbitrator’s ruling. That is why the NFLPA will sue.

That's fine. But you didn't initially state that. You just said the NFLPA will sue. You just automatically thought this would be the course. I'm telling you the NFL will not appeal this ruling. No reason to sue.

I don’t agree that it should just be six games but I also don’t believe Goodell should be getting in peoples business
lol, well it's the NFL's business, and he is the commissioner of the NFL ...

I am still waiting on Robert Krafts suspension for doing exactly the same thing.
Actually it wasn't the same thing. There were no complaints against Kraft of sexual harassment or sexual assault. There were what … 20-25 such complaints against Watson?

The fact they ran up a trail balloon before actually making a decision

3rd party arrangements are just there to shift the blame. If the 3rd party decision is publicly accepted, the NFL says it was a fair, impartial third party decision. Justice was done, but not by us.

If the 3rd part decision isn't accepted, the NFL says "we put it out there but the third party decision doesn't reflect our view\commitment on these important human rights issues and thus we must take further action to protect the integrity of our league".

BS if true, courts already said there were not enough for criminal charges, the arbitrator saii the same thing. So once again we are going by the publics feelings rather than the evidence, it's the same bs that got Zeke suspended.

You are right ..... It's much much worse.

Sheriff William Snyder was in charge of the raids on the all Asian massage parlor that Kraft frequented. Many of the women, he said, had been tricked into coming to the United States and had been working to pay off debts to traffickers before being rescued. “I don’t believe they were told they were going to work in massage parlors seven days a week, having unprotected sex with up to 1,000 men a year,” Snyder said.
Sex trafficking, under law, involves recruiting and transporting women by force or fraud, and coercing them to work as prostitutes. The traffickers, Snyder continued, had covered their tracks by moving the women every 10 to 20 days to different spas, where they were forced to sleep on massage tables and cook on hot plates. Some were unable to leave, the sheriff said, because the traffickers confiscated their money and passports.

Kraft pretty much just paid for hookers right? He bought a service that was illegal. He did not do anything like Watson did .

I mean how many players in the NFL would you have to suspend for paying for sex?

He was visiting a Asian massage parlor that used sex slaves who were being forced to work there.
Not the same thing as paying for hookers.
