My excitement is very high… as always. My favorite time of the year because of this sport and this team.

I’m ready!

Hey guys,

I made a similar thread after the playoff loss last year and things felt more bleak than hopeful, but a new season is around the corner, so I wanted to check in and see how everyone is feeling about it.

Given what we currently know about the roster and overall team/organization dynamic, what are you expecting/hoping for out of the season?

Yes, I know I'm mostly known as a hater around here, so I'm sure nobody will be shocked to hear that I'm not overly optimistic about 2022. It seems the roster got worse and then Stephen & Jerry are spinning it, per usual, by trying to voice their "confidence" in all the young guys.

Overall though, I'm still feeling the hangover from the 49er loss.

I'm struggling to find much excitement and that's a very foreign feeling for me concerning the Cowboys, especially in August.

Anyways, I'm rambling. How do y'all feel???

I dunna expect much from the team or their chances as a SB team. I look forward to the individual storylines, how Zeke starts off and Dak's chemistry with the new WRs. Hoping to see Micah and Diggs play all out and be all pros again.

not very excited at all, in general, less so now that even our own fans are trashing Diggs.

I’m excited as always. New year, new team. Defense in the 2nd year for Quinn should be stout. Not as concerned as everyone else is about the WR corp. There will be some veterans cut during training camp that they can pick up if they deem it necessary. My biggest concern is the offensive line. McGovern or Tyler Smith at LG does not instill confidence. Depth is a big concern. Hope they can make a trade for a swing tackle and Guard depth.

I'm always kind of excited at the beginning of the year. Then it fades at some point.

I hate Sunday night games. I work the midnight shift that starts at 10pm EST. What a pain in my as. And with the new NFL APP, I'm not sure I can watch it at work anymore without paying. So I took Monday off.

If we had tried to get better through FA, I'd have said a solid 8....given that teams that were already better than us did more to get better, I'm saying a 3.

6-7, they do play in the East so maybe you can get an 8 on me on a good day. If they kept the 3, it would be a low 9, but we have an atrocious front office, at least Amari and an 8 on any day.

I'm always excited for a new season of Dallas Cowboys football.

However, I do have some concerns with the WR unit and Kicker. Defense is going to have to win games this year and be the team's strength.

With every new season there is excitement and anticipation, but let's be honest, the Cowboys are only judged by playoff success. The regular season is important as it determines where you fit in the scope of the playoff picture, but the Cowboys are starving for a deep playoff run, and what a better time to get it than this season when no one expects it..

Well after that once again ridiculously meaningless last season I have changed my strategy for this one. Basically I'm going from fan level to observer and my season will start with the play offs. That means 17 more pre season games. Whatever they do there, only thing important to me is, do they get their ticket to the relevant part of the season or not.

So I will be happy about wins but no matter how many they rack up won't let my hopes get up high again for the play offs. Complete new ballgame then.

Only possible indicator of what they can do will be the games against TN, LA and the likes. But still no more staying up late to watch them live. Watching the replay the next evening, if even will be enough.

Wish them the best of luck of course.

well I am not just a dallas fan, I like or find other teams interesting, and will root for some of those teams.
So I am excited season will start soon.

For me it doesnt matter what the cowboys do, although it is more fun if they at least make the playoffs.
So as long as they do that thumbs up!

Also since it is same coaches, same jones boys, and basically same team, I am not expecting anything great from the
cowboys in 2022.
Dak and elliott are still the starters, and elliot will get more carries than pollard.
Lamb and shultz will get bulk of targets.

They do have some new players that I find interesting, I was bummed that washington got hurt, man he just has bad luck!.

and another one bites the dust! ( longtime fan ) but ol jerry will still have a full stadium each homegame! and media asking him questions, so he
will be happy whatever the outcome lol.
Fill the stadium, and give some jerry speak to media, and jerry is in heaven! As for doing good in playoffs,
dont forget that is a process !! a very long process !:muttley:

We will make the playoffs and then anything can happen.
that simply isnt true, it is what jones boys and some fans believe though.
A team has to be playing good in dec and the games leading up to playoffs. They have to be a good team with a good defense and offense.
Weak teams get eliminated early in WC or Div rounds.

anything can happen for one game, but not through playoffs, the better teams will come out on top.

Excited for football. This organization brings no excitement for me anymore. Outside of a select few a roster yet again of overhyped mediocre talent. Bring some wins vs elite teams and divisional/championship games and there will be excitement again…until then. Rinse repeat same type of failed season is what this organization is now.
