I'm so tired of hearing players and coaches from this team say that we're going to and we need to run the ball more etc etc. Ok SHUT UP and make it happen!!

Just because the running game doesn't get you 20 yards each play, doesn't mean it's time to abandon it! It's time to focus heavy on the running game and be committed to it. Stop with all the talking and wishing, please give me your thoughts!!!

Agreed....but you have to run it well to be able to make the choice to stay with it.

If you can't get first downs and the opponent is flinging it down the field and goes up 21-0, what are you supposed to do?

So....wanting to run more sounds great, but you've gotta be able to move the chains or it's just lip service.

That is incorrect. Look at Emmitt stats. There were MANY games he started 5-7 carries for 25 yards. But they stayed committed to a robust run game...and he ends the game with 150+ yards. AND THE WIN.

When we played Tampa last year...the game was very clsoe at the end. Brady understood you STILL have to run the ball and not just heave it down the field.

It's not that you have to "run well to make the choice". What has to happen is no abundance of 1st down/drive killing penalties or turnovers that leave you 2-3 TDs behind early on.

You have to keep driving the run game. Maybe get 2 yards. 4 yards. Here and there but if we stay with it Elliot or Pollard will break one. Need to stop calling wham up the middle plays. Go off tackle some. Mix it up and hang with it. And I would feel better about it if we had a different O-Line coach..

Yep. Problem there is its a completely different game now. I'd love for it to go back to the time period you reference, but not gonna happen.

But you're right on the penalties, and it wouldn't hurt if a certain unnamed TE would stop whiffing on run blocks on 1st and 10, and put us into 2nd and 5/6 more often than it actually happens.

Often, being "committed to running" = committed to punting. You adapt and take what the defense gives you. How many times have we seen the team bang its head against the wall in this regard? Avoid 3rd and long when everyone knows you're passing. Football is the ultimate game of rock, paper, scissors.

I just told just last year the bucs never abandoned the run....even when they needed to score in the last minutes.
Nfl hasnt changed as much as you are trying so hard to believe. We couldnt stop the run last year and got our....behinds....handed to us.

the run gane is still important.

We don’t win w/out a decent running attack.

We're not the Titans, we're not the Ravens. No run heavy team is winning the SB. All we need is to be able to run well enough for balance.
