You stating you have more trust in Houston is a ridiculous statement. You have absolutely nothing to support that. Tolbert may not be ready, but Houston has done absolutely zero to suggest he’s a better option.

Hmmm....maybe not as ''ridiculous'' as you think. Pretty sure I have read/heard MM and Jerry singling out Houston.

BTW........guess you missed where I said perhaps we are expecting too much.

"A lot of young guys have stepped up. Just to say one would be cheating the other," Dak said. "But obviously Dennis Houston and Tolbert, just to start off on who have been in there and taken more reps. You're asking 'hey, give us an X, give us a Z,' just coming in, just trying to play whatever position and be available to the offense. That's how you get on the field, doing as many things as you can and doing it at a high level. That's what these young guys are doing right now."

none of this means anything in relation to you having more confidence in him. Absolutely zero.

Dak doesn't have to be a hero. He needs to be smart and make the most of his opportunities. Our defense is the strongest unit on our team and we will win especially early in the season because of our defense and a few timely plays by Dak.

Tolbert ain't ready, maybe Rush hurt him a bit Saturday, or maybe we are expecting too much, too fast. Either way, I have more confidence in Houston up to this point but that's not saying much about our readiness for game one. I would feel a lot better about this room with an additional vet and I'm sure Cole or any vet wants some assurance of being on the roster/team for more than a few games. Get it done Stephen, if not Cole, then Fuller ......

Nay.

Past his time.

And the a-hole burned bridges

Nobody is signing him so that should tell u

I would. Yes.

The cowboys won’t because they have conditioned people into believing that “we don’t want progress stoppers” and other nonsense like that.

Various:
On paper the WR corps takes a big step back. Copper is a top 20 WR. Tho closer to 20 than most fans admit.
But let's be clear on where this was. Dallas was the top rated overall offense. Top, 1. Numero Uno.
So perhaps stop crying???

No on Beasley. He can't help himself. He trash talked his way out of town and was released by a very good team for a reason.
As someone mentioned above maybe you give him a shot week 3 or some such if he is ready to just go to work.

There are 4-5 vet WRs out there you can go get if that is a major need. And about 25x32 teams worth of players will be released before game 1.
You can fill WR2 role but Dallas can also just line up CeeDee, Noah Brown and Tolbert/Turpin/Houston.
With CeeDee, Zeke, Pollard, Schultz no opposing team is feeling sorry for Dak.
