I would rather take advice from this doctor...

...than some 'Weeks 10' doctor.:D

OK, so what am I missing here?

If he is not his doctor it is just an opinion

True but time frames are pretty standard for ACL recovery. Adrian Petersons' return was considered freakish and he returned 8 months after surgery. It's not too big a leap in logic to say Gallup needs 9 months or more to recover and then work forward from the date of surgery to find a realistic time til recovery.

First, the guy is a Dr.

Not sure why all the animosity about his opinion. He should know better than us laymen, about an injury.

That said, I thought I read a couple months back that Gallup underwent a new type of surgery that can potentially make his recovery time faster. Not sure if that was PR puff piece or if it had any merit. Interestingly, I'm unable to find it upon a google search and I don't recall the exact source.
Nope, my Doctor is an idiot, he claims that I am totally normal.

Been following this doctor's channel for a couple of years now. He is very accurate on his timelines for returns.

Gallup probably won't be back until week 10 (week 9 is a bye).

anyone wanna bet he’s back by week 4 latest

My money is some time between week 8-12. I've had the surgery and did a lot of research at the time. Almost nobody returns in under 9 months. Adrian Peterson is basically the only guy.

Different this past year. We’ve had a couple of athletes come back in 7 months this year.

Maybe they liked Fehoko and Brown equally but didn't have time to incorporate them into the gameplan.

All things being equal Gallup major knee injury do I re sign him or do I spend less money bring back Cedric Wilson and with the savings spend it on a a vet swing tackle . I had no idea Sept and Oct would pass without Gallup , at that price ?

Eric Fisher if I’m not mistaken has not Re signed since leaving the Colts after 2021. I’m not thrilled with the prospects of Josh Ball on Daks blind side .

This Dr did appear a bit drunk also...kinda creepy. He is being his guess on the average time frame without ever examining the patient or seeing his records. All an educated guess...and really means nothing.

ONE guy who is not with the team saying this. Who is supposed to be a sports medicine expert. Sounded and looked like he was drunk.
So you going to go with that, ok then.

However we need to see more about the WR group. But I don’t think they are a mess, but they aren’t what they could be. However we have not seen the starters out there either.
We will know soon enough
If he’s on PUP when season starts then probably 6 games
If not then they expect him much sooner
He’s already running routes so we shall see

I thought the MD sounded knowledgeable about this type of injury . Couple that with Washington gone and I’m thinking more and more Brandon Smith can be this years Malik Turner. Come off the bench get open and get you 15 yards to stretch the chains .

Lost in the Turpin special teams Devin Hester highlight reel was the pitchout he took on the sweep where the defender has him for a 5 yard loss , Turpin turned into a 7 yard gain . Oh Nellie Keith Jackson that was nice .
