Well he broke his left leg in 6 places shattered his left hip left arm broke in 4 places left ankle and wrist are broken cracked his scull Good news he has no spinal cord damage will need surgery on all broken stuff And they still will not let us see him They are in covid protocol at the hospital

Given the circumstances this is the best news one could hope for. Continued prayers for his healing.

Knowing your son survived such a horrific crash is truly a miracle.
Take one day at a time. They'll let you see him when the doctor/staff think it's appropriate.

Right now he has many issues that need attention before they allow any other visitors. Hang in there.

Gip, the news isn't necessarily good but considering what it could have been, I'd say that's great.

I can only imagine what's been going through your mind and those of your family because the unknown at a time like that is hard to handle.

Going to take healing, patience and time but thankfully, y'all have the time with him now. You do not have to say goodbye to your son but I'd bet he has to say goodbye to that motorcycle.

Wow...so happy your son is alive and going to recover.
Very weird reading injury list...almost identical to mine when I got nailed on my Harley 10yrs ago tomorrow. Took me almost 2yrs and 9 surgeries to recover but I did and so will your son.

@Cowpolk , haven’t heard an update so I assume he’s progressing nicely. One thing that happened to you is something I have always feared…….having enough drinks so I can’t drive and than having a family member be in need and not be able to get to them. Been lucky so far, knock on wood

Gipper wouldn't have been able to see him anyway, due to protocols.

That’s a relief in that sense, Im surprised that some places are still having Covid protocols if that was the reason.

Keep the faith my man. That’s pretty normal...they kept me in a coma for 10 days. Was in intensive care for 37 days.....62 days total in hospital after wreck then other hospitalization for surgeries. It’s amazing the things they’re capable off doing. Basically I shattered and/or broke every bone on left side of my body...sounds like that’s about what happened to your son.
Stay the course....they'll fix him up, rub some dirt on it and he’ll be good to go.

Hey Gip, not sure how well the medical staff is communicating with you, but don't be bashful about seeking information from them. If you are unable to gain access to the ICU or surgical unit, call the nursing station for info and ask where you can find out more if they are unable to satisfy your want for info. The Nursing Staff will likely be very helpful with keeping you informed. Hopefully what your Son is going through now is a swelling reducing procedure. Hang in there, Brother, they will get him right and you in to see him.
