I tend 2 AGREE. The Tafua kid we just cut is an example of what you suggest. Rather have him on the 53 than Basham, more I think about what you said. Big Kat Bryant is another. He flashed as well.
Bryant has signed with an another team

No freakin' way!

This could only be true if they are being underhanded in attempting to neutralize certain incentive clauses in a player's contract in regards to starting games.

Let's say, for example, that Gallimore's contract indicates that if he is the starter in so many games then he gets a bonus. I don't believe that's the case but this is just an example.

Jordan Lewis is injured and might not play in game #1. Doesn't this tell us that Bland will be the starter on Sunday night?

How can you have 12 starters on defense? It's no wonder they get so many penalties....o_O

I mean I assume this is the expected full season depth chart, right and not the depth chart for the Bucs game.

Because I find it hard to believe that Michael Gallup is starting Sunday night.
This is the depth going into week 1. The injury report will dictate who will be on the field in place of whom.

So yeah we can expect whomever is behind Gallup on the chart (Tolbert) to be starting in his place. But the reason you don see it by the guy who’s going to actually is play is due to depth chart vs injury report stuff.

I haven’t heard much about Fowler in the training camps. Based on his history, would it be unreasonable to assume he should have beaten Armstrong in the depth chart?

Bohanna over Gallimore? :omg:

Wow. Never mind Fowler, I didn’t see that one. I would definitely consider that a huge disappointment if Gallimore isn’t getting more snaps. It’s hard to tell though because Quinn’s defense rotates so much and shows different fronts.

He did fine in camp was mentioned a decent amount and Armstrong is a very good run defender so he starts there on base.

Most likely Fowler gets the first crack at 3rd down pass rush reps.

Sam Williams third string…

And Dante Fowler is specifically DLaw’s backup.

It’s becoming clearer that Gregory wasn’t dropped in exchange for those two, he was dropped for more Dorance Armstrong.

Who is third WR with Gallup out? Fehoko appears to be the #1 backup, or do we go by Tolbert being slotted immediately behind Gallup?

Bohanna will be out there on early downs because of run defense. Gallimore will be out there in the nickel.

Of course, that's just a generalized lineup, though. Gallimore will probably be out there some when we play a five-man line along with Osa and Bohanna, and we'll probably rotate Hill and Golston in as well.

Doubt that considering they are playing Tank at the 3 on passing downs according to what he is saying. Osa makes more sense in that scenario.

Gallimore has to be the most overrated player on the roster. Everyone fixates on the anecdotes but he was front and center when we were getting blown off the ball last season. His anchor is awful.

- Bohanna in the starting lineup now ? that's 100% about stopping the run first ...
How often, ..how many reps and 1st downs we'll see Quinton will one to behold. ..

- Armstrong to combine with Dlaw in the starting lineup.. another sign of high priority of stopping the run first and foremost.

- The only thing that could change the difference and dynamics is opposing teams starting out fast in no huddle offenses, (and staying that way ?)
in an effort to eliminate Quinn's excessive sub-packages and multi-alignments.
If they are serious about stopping the run on early downs Osa should not be starting. Gallimore would be a better fit there.

No. The 3-4 setup (or 5-2) is Armstrong, Odighizuwa, Bohanna, Gallimore, Lawrence, with Parsons and LVE at linebacker. Basham may be a sub at the DE/OLB spots while Golston will likely get some 5-tech snaps, maybe 3-tech. Not sure Hill is a sub in these sets or just in the 4-3 nickel, which is what we'll be in most of the time. We will use a package with Lawrence inside, though, from what I understand, with Fowler and Williams at the end spots. It will be interesting to see all the different combinations Quinn uses in the front seven, since not only do we have all those DL to rotate and move around, but we also have four linebackers (Parsons, LVE, Barr, Cox) who can be rotated around.
