Dak should request a trade

I really hate to say this. I really do. However, Jerry deserves this, and, if Dak wants to salvage his career, I think he needs to go to a team whose owner actually cares about winning. He's not got weapons here. His contract, compared to other QBs really isn't all that bad, and there are teams who'd likely snap him up quickly. If he doesn't want to end up like Romo, he needs to really consider waiving his trade clause and going to a team like Seattle, who need a QB and would probably give us a king's ransom to get Dak. I'm NOT blaming Dak for yesterday. The loss is on Jerry, and, unfortunately, Jerry doesn't care. So, Dak should go to a team who does care and can build a roster.

We would be so lucky

I like Dak. However, if he wants to preserve his career, he really should consider asking for a trade. Jerry couldn't care less about losing. All Jerry cares about is being talked about and collecting money. That's all Jerry wants. If we win, brilliant, but he's got a never ending money machine. So, Dak should realise this and go to a team actually cares.

Put it this way, if Dak wants a short career, then he should stay. If he wants to play a while, then teams like the Seahawks, Saints, Ravens (who are likely going to bin Jackson), the Colts (who just drew with the Texans), Texans, and Falcons are all teams where Dak could potentially find better success with owners who care.

Dak was terrible last night. That was the worst opening day performance by a QB1 in Dallas that I can remember. He was overpaid by a clueless owner. He's not an elite QB. As I've been saying for years on this board, he fluffs the stats against bad teams and in garbage time. The real Dak comes out in games like this on national TV against good teams.

And make no mistake, the only person I criticize more than Dak is Jerry. He and Stephen are buffoons in the world of football. They have no idea how to build a team. Dak is only the fruit of their ineptitude.

Dak didn't play well. However, I don't think it's entirely or even mostly the fault of Dak. Jerry have him next to nothing to work with. So,.this was the consequence of that. If he doesn't want Romo's injuries, he needs to go to a team who cares.

A lot of teams played terrible offensively in week 1. A lot of teams will be able to fix the issues they had and course correct. We won't have that chance with Dak. So not sure if Jerry failed Dak as a QB.

I think Jerry did fail him. He gave him literally nothing to work with and very little protection. What did we expect would happen? He had no blocking at the LG side. That's as obvious, as was the lack of WR.

The INT wasn't his fault? There were 3 TB defenders between that football and his target. He doesn't see the field. He was missing wide open wrs all night. He can't throw on the run with any accuracy.

Is this entirely his fault? Of course not. But QB1 is the most important position on the field and he was awful in his own right. It was an embarrassing performance and he would be getting roasted were it not being overshadowed by his injury.

Dak's contract is structured as such that he could not be traded/released until after the 2023 season ($39M dead money at that point compared to $52M cap hit) so not sure why create this thread. That said, do you really think Dallas would get much in return for Dak after last night and the past few years with now injury concerns popping up?

Prescott left the game I felt like: "The game is over, does it matter?"
He wasn't good enough. Along with the rest of the offense and whatever the hell game Moore was trying to call. I'm getting tired of the BS trick stuff that backs us up 10 yards while Grampa Elliott is pounding out 6 yards a game and we have Pollard in the helping double-team pass rushers and missing free running DE's.

That was his fault. I'm not saying he's without blame. I'm just pointing out that most of the blame is on Jerry and the fact Dak really doesn't have weapons.

And to think people on this board thought Pollard should start. He can't block. Zeke can. Zeke was killing the Bucs on the ground. Moore should be binned just for not giving him the ball enough.

I take it this is a joke thread? No team would be dumb enough to take on his contract with a broken body and limited/average production.

I think Dak is a very good QB. What he needs is weapons, and we don't have much there. If he had a reliable WR, then he might've had a better night. Unfortunately, our WRs dropped a lot of passes.
Well theres you problem, Dak isn't a very good QB. Very Good QBs dont need All-Pro's at the other 10 positions on the field to succeed, Dak does
