What on earth do y’all expect for the guy to say lol?
There's better things to say that don't make yourself sound stupid like he's doing.

I get it, hype your guy up, but don't say dumb stuff to do it.

It's not hard to say "I think Dak is a top QB in this league" instead of basically saying he's better than everyone but Rodgers and Brady.

News article:

It looks like Dallas is stuck with Jerry Jones for the foreseeable future.

"#Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to fans frustrated “I’d be mad too” but says “I’ll never sell this team” and says he would be open to a segment on @1053thefan taking calls from fans. also adds shuffling out GMs around the league isn’t the secret to success either. (Enjoy fans)," said Jane Slater.

To be fair, it's not Jerry Jones' fault things haven't come together in Dallas. He doesn't control injuries or how players play. The Cowboys have had everything they need to be a legitimate contender in the NFC, it simply hasn't come together.

With that being said, it looks like Jones made a big mistake sending Amari Cooper to Cleveland. The Cowboys offense simply isn't the same.

Not sure what the point of hyping Dak is when he will be out for most likely 6 - 8 weeks.

Stephen needs to check himself…the funny thing is didn’t they want to draft Paxton Lynch initially and Dak seemed more like a consolation pick? And yet they acted like Dak was the play all along.

Sure…Dak uses games to pad his stats against the NFCE, clearly inferior competition; then does not perform well against quality competition.

The elite quarterbacks don’t need to be surrounded with great players, they elevate the play of those players around them. Clearly, Dak is not that guy that will lead them to the Super Bowl, let alone the wildcard playoffs. He requires a fully-functioning supporting cast.

Note to Stephen: Dak is not a #1 or #2…he would be hard-pressed to be a #12 or #13. Take off those rose-colored glasses your Daddy gave you.

They tried to trade up for Lynch, then targeted Connor Cook in the 3rd round. Failing both, they took Dak in the 4th round.

They fell into the best of the three then convinced themselves he's a top 3 player at his position. What a clown show. :muttley:

Get ready for the Dak extension to lower the annual cap hits. It's coming.
I would hope they'd only extend him if he earns it, but I'm not that naive. These guys, I don't get how someone could be so blinded by their arrogance. If they could admit when they're wrong, maybe we would've won more than 2 playoff games since 96.

Thanks for the clarification. I don’t even think either of them are still on a NFL roster are they? Well…I guess you got to give Jerry and Stephen their props…they sure know QB talent! What knobs!

Stephens' idiocy reminds me of a majority of the homers on this forum when it comes to Dak. I guess when your fan base throws trash at your QB you really have to give it some thought. Think about that one more time, they're booing our 40 million dollar QB and tossing trash at him! Good time ahead folks!

Dak isn't available to play for at least a month so the timing doesn't suggest a call out.

He's telling us what he really believes. That's why they paid him.
I agree that he's telling us what he really believes. He is defending himself against the assertion that he doesn't use the cap to go all in like other teams do, though. He did mention Dak specifically, the only player he mentioned. I don't think it was an 'enough is enough' type of 'do or die' callout but I would bet he is wondering about Dak like most of are and there is some 'i'm looking at you Dak' in that response. Maybe I'm being to cynical but it seems to fit pretty well.

Stephen is adamant we used 100% of the cap possible but we also points out ppl are correct there is a sizable amount of cap that can be used. Conflicting statements

Sounds like you were destined to be in sales. Jerry could use a guy like you right now.
Too bad I have no interest.
Probably draw 7 figures with a wink.
