Very true, but does that mean it's ok for fans and the players to start acting like the eagles and their fans?

Manchester United got the Glaziers to part with $170m when they started ramping up the displeasure with the running of the team. Jerry wont change unless he's made uncomfortable, or he starts losing out financially.

Well AT will get filled out, with travelling fans if nothing else and the brand will sell itself, put Micah 11 on a shirt and it sells.

If nothing else the heat on Jones will force him to deflect and potentially employ a GM.... this is how Rome fell, from within and over time.

Dude I completely agree. When things were thrown at Dak I thought to myself "this is bad". I agree we're there, I feel we were there after the 49er loss. Now I'm just hoping cooler heads prevail and no violence happens. I don't want that. To be honest what I would like is 100,000 people chanting "screw you Jerry" (or something to that affect) for an entire 3 hour game. Or all the stadium just empties out on national TV and humiliates him. As long as it's words and no objects being thrown, no fights and no one physically gets hurt.

But I do 100% agree with your post that we're there. If we get blown out Sunday things could get ugly. I hope it's safe ugly. That's what I'm stuck on. I just want safety.

One more point is I feel the fanbase is realizing it's Jerry and son. So why throw things at Dak. He's a lieutenant in the army of Jerry. Not a fan of Dak as a player but that's low and crappy. Just like throwing things at the refs. If fans want to embarrass Jerry then go for it, but please don't physically hurt anyone.

Yep it's manipulation of the media. Am I correct in thinking that Jerry has most of DFW media on his side? If so you need something that gets NATIONAL media attention, embarrassing him at AT&T is exactly what the media would feed on. You are right, if it turns ugly the media sympathy turns against the fans (and towards poor Jerry)..... if done in a concerted effort (mass walk out, late entry, planned chants) it will get attention.

Indeed, you can use the local media and focus on Dallas football to grow the 'movement'....if you take a play out of Manchester United fan's book, mass social media had taken over the whole lead up to the games, which of course the media (inc national TV) lapped it up....as I say the Glaziers tried placating the fans by spending $170m on two players.

This has placated the fans in the short term, but: a) the discontent is still there b) the Glaziers have forced to conceded to the fans (obs they didnt want to spend the $170m)

It is a lot of frustration on Cowboy fans that 27 years+ is a long time to keep hearing Jerry say he would pay any amount of money to win a championship. It's all been talk and then he turns around and signs no one.
In the last few years, we have seen good players being signed for peanuts but "We like our guys"

I will Always be a fan because those were the times that me, my Dad and brothers would watch the games together. I am my father's girl and the little sister to my older brothers.
This will be the first year I will watch the season all alone. So yes I am tired of Jerry Jones but I will still watch and honor our family traditions and I will root like hades for them to win.

If every fan spoke out against Jerry nothing would change. I'm not even saying for or against that, just it would be irrelevant. Jerry lately is delusional, I at least admired him more when he took chances, you can't hit a home run if you don't swing.

Cowboys fans have had 26 plays years of futility and have been mostly patient and tolerant. I sense that this season is different. I think Cowboys Fans are ready to lose their **** on the team.

The team seems to be overall very frustrated and it seems like it is about more than just this loss. There seems to be a cumulative frustration, that is ready to hit a boiling point.

If the Cowboys manage to win this game and ride out the season at close to .500 the team may not explode. But if this team really stinks it up (and is either not competitive or the coaching can’t be defended) I think this situation could get REALLY UGLY IN A HURRY. We are right at the “critical mass” for one hell of an explosion.
Ya think? :lmao2:

We survived 1-15 and if it happens again, we'll survive it.

We are too stupid and Jerry's too old to go 1-16.

Us tanking a season (especially this one) wouldnt be the worst thing, provided it meant a proper GM to rebuild. It's the perpetual 'same ole' stagnant franchise just good enough to contend is the problem. Maybe trading your Zack Martin, Dak or CeeDee (when we've built up the worth) wouldnt be the worst route.....build around the Defense and obtain draft capital (and CAP) to rebuilding the Offense.

I was kind of pissed that I have to go to a wedding on October 9th. The day we play the Rams. Pissed that someone chose to have their wedding on a Sunday during football season.

Now I'm glad they picked that day. Now I'm glad I'm going to the wedding and not watching the game.

At least we know now for sure he is listening and reading about how the fans feel and what they think of him. You know it is eating him up inside. So much he had to publicly denounce us. People with enormous egos hate it when they get no respect, credit and love.
If you look up egomaniac in the dictionary, you will find a pic of Jerry.

Not only that, but I think the knowledge that he's been a failure since 1996 haunts him and the fact he can't get over himself and has likely chased away top talented coaches.

Exactly, and it's time we give Jerry the Glazers treatment.

Some of you would like that, huh?

What is that going to solve? It won't do anything but make matters much worse. Isn't the bad performance why y'all are acting up to begin with?

SMH

Speaking for myself, it's the lack of success. I don't care that he's the owner. I just want better coaching and better player management.

This team is going to keep losing because they can't score points, so it'll be interesting to see how Jerry/Stephen responds to more criticism directed at them now their scapegoating isn't working. Let the chaos begin.
