If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Just enjoy the win.

Great win but I’m telling it like it is. Rush and our offense did practically nothing in the second half allowing Cincy to crawl their way back in the game. If Dak had the same performance everyone would be saying we won in spite of him. The bottom line is our defense won us that football game. They got after Burrow and held them to mostly FG’s. Although our D was starting to wear down they hung in and Diggs made a great play breaking up a pass at the end. Kudos to our defense!

Nobody props Rush up as a top 7-10 QB, though Dak-Stan’s had their resident Brady as top 5 and MVP last year. Dak’s yearly implosion just started early this year. Rush will do for now as it is one step closer to ending the Dak experiment.
That should move Rush up to 10 and should bump dak down to 19. Sounds about right. Got any of those throwing challenges to brag about?

What really pisses me off is Jerry listening to these ESPN talking heads! Oh, Dak is a top 10 QB! He fell for it hook, line and sinker! Just like these idiots who watch Fox News and CNN!
He was brain washed just like those idiots!

Cooper played very well today and you can see that he reads defenses and throws with anticipation better than our starter

having said this, he is limited and will get exposed in upcoming games once defenses have more film

he’s not a long term starter but he’s a really good backup
I think our offense could expand too based on what they’ve learned today. Certain plays they gotta scrap.

Rush’s better than Dak or good enough performance will absolutely cut it for us, as it continues to expose Dak.
I’ll lay out a scenario and can you tell me what you think they do.

rush goes 3-3. Plays ok. Like 10 td and 5 int.
Dak comes back. Goes 5-5. Throws like 20 td and 8 int. We miss playoffs.

What should really scare people is the lack of drop off between Dak and Rush. I mean think about that for a second.. Dak is getting paid 40M.. he is getting MORE than a heap of really great QBs. Dak is getting paid like a TOP FIVE QB.. losing a Top 5 QB and putting in a 1 game veteran 'back up' that is closer to a fourth string back up.. the drop off should have been huge. We should have all sat lamenting that the game would be 'over' if Dak was under centre.. when things got tight in the last we should have all been talking about how "if Dak wasn't injured" but we weren't.. not a single person honestly believes we would have done better with Dak out there today.. and THAT speaks volumes!!!!!

It is not just about the W or the L.. there is no way that the discussion between Dak and Rush should be at all happening.. you DO NOT pay a guy 40M for him to end up in a 'contest' with your fourth string back up QB!! The whole situation is farcical.

The fact that we are having these discussions show how bad Dak is.. and he is not getting better. We paid top dollar for a middle average QB.. its a killer.

The same posters who now say "stats don't matter" are the same ones pointing to Dak's "lack of stats" in 2016 as a reason he should not start. Even though the Cowboys were WINNING GAMES.

dak isn’t even a middle average QB. He’s a clown con artist playing pretend NFL QB. He’s bottom 5 in the NFL. I’d take most if not all starting QB’s over him at this point. What a joke.

Says the Zeke fanboy :muttley:!

At least with Dak, you can blame the over-inflated NFL QB contracts. What is your excuse for paying Zeke the money he is getting while playing backup to Pollard?

Two consecutive runs then he taps out!

We have fans that seem legit upset that we won this game today.

They wanted Rush to fail so bad to justify their "If Dak can't do it nobody can" belief.

Ya'll should take note of those trying to rain on the victory parade today so you know where they stand.

Ya guys like Corso and company........oh well it was nice to see a passing game and a TD!
How about that clutch drive to get the FG?
COWBOYS....Just win baby!!!!

His numbers were decent, but nothing great.

You get it done when it matters most and he's 2 for 2 doing it!

Let's go! Just win, baby!
JUST WIN BABY is correct!!!
When it counted Rush stood tall and didn't choke the apple like Dakko!
Dak makes a great cheerleader leave him on the sidelines to Ra Ra Ra Ra............
Does Dak win this game today?
NO!!!!

I love how Rush plays but, let's see how he responds when he's put out enough tape for defensive coordinators to actually game plan for him week to week.

But i feel as of right now he should start until he shows he's not worthy.

You keep telling yourself that and spreading that false narrative. You flood the forum with "DAk sucks CoOper is goNNA take his job" posts. I've seen nothing from anyone wanting Cooper to fail.

That's the game here, though. Some are trying to drag this down to Cooper Rush success means Dak Prescott failure.

Those people are petty, and obviously live miserable lives.

You are right but this also works the other way. When Dak goes back out there we will have certain "fans" wanting him to fail so they can thump their chests with the anti-Dak rhetoric again.

This will be an unpopular opinion but I think the Cowboys would have won this game comfortably with Dak today. But I am really happy for Rush and he was clutch!

Dak has to relearn things he already knew. That is, he's going to have to remember that the reason the line looks better vs. the Bengals is because Rush was decisive and processed the information quickly.

The offensive line stepped up today.

But Dak really needs to watch what Rush is doing, because Dak seems to be overcomplicating the offense some.

Then again, he's rusty. And has really only played against his team.

That's the thing, too. When Dak comes back, he'll have a sore thumb and he'll still be a little rusty from sitting out.. and of course, he could kill it. Or if he has a bad game, our fans will lose their minds.

We'll see if Cooper Rush can keep winning. I like what he did today, and there are a few things here and there . . . but overall, Moore called a good game, too.

I have to wonder if they added a player like Suh to the defense, what would happen..

The Cowboys did a great job giving Rush plays and passes he could succeed with. For some reason they don't always do this with Dak. I think it's less Dak having to relearn what he knows and more of the coaching staff remembering what Dak is and what he does best.

This is all on Kellen Moore. Dak is an excellent quarterback but like all players he has strengths and weaknesses. You have to build a gameplan around those. You don't run Tom Brady on read option plays just like you don't leave Lamar Jackson in the pocket all game long. So with Dak the Cowboys need to call plays that suit him too.
