Incredible blocking from Jake Ferguson last night. Dude was dogging tackles/ends one-on-one all game. A good blocking TE is what our offense has been sorely missing the last few years. Look at #87 on these plays.

The scouting report on him leading up to the draft was that he was a good blocker but not great. He looked elite last night.

I don’t think it’s necessary. This year he can still bring value in the passing game.

I just don’t think we have to force a big contract to keep him in Dallas next year.

That’s a little harsh and not entirely true. If it is an exceptionally small 3rd grader… I’m pretty sure Shultz could slow him down.

Idk if he's a TE1, but he's got to be in on a majority of run plays over Schultz.

Schultz single-handedly sabotaged at least a dozen run plays last year. The only thing I was screaming for at the trade deadline was a blocking TE.

I think he could be TE1 right now and be fine. He could help the team right now as the starting TE. IMO of course.

He pointed out on one play He handled His Own Against the Giants 1st Rd pick Kayvon Thibodeaux . . . which was a pleasant surprise because I am assuming He is one dimensional because of His stature . . . But He has fight in Him . . . reminds me of George Kittle with His Moxie . . . He has a Pair

I like the combination of those 2. Shultz is missed But we dont need to break the bank to keep him

Yes teams love overpaid TEs with sprained knees about to hit free agency. Should be able to get a few number 1 draft picks for him.
