So what if OT Tyron Smith is healthy again in December ?
As Jerry claims the club is optimistic he'll be.

Sure Tyron is a future Hall of Famer when he retires, but what will be the game plan at starting LT when he supposedly is healthy again ?

Does he get his starting LT job back, and we move Tyler back to LG ?
Or does Tyron become the swing tackle -even over Jason Peters ?

i wouldn't think so with Tyler playing and developing so very well at LT.that the club
would want to change that role.

Does Jerry value Tyron that much that the current dynamics could change ?
I would love to have a healthy Tyron Smith playing in December are you drunk or something? The dude is a monster at LT. And you want a rookie protecting Daks blindside leading into the post season? Tyler Smith is a ROOKIE. He’s going to make rookie mistakes. Come on man…

So difference between Dak and Tyron right now?
Neither should start again...unless Injury or poor play from the current incumbent...

I'd go 6 Olineman for half the plays and Im not even kidding. Heavy run blocking and max protection.

I think Cowboys would love to have this problem.

Especially if Tyron comes back 100%.

Cowboys have never been fully healthy going into January.

If Tyler continues to play well I don't think Tyron gets his position back but maybe they rotate some series or he is needed at other spots.

He can become the swing tackle…I doubt he’s back this year…

If Tyler continues to play LT at a high level then no way. The only way I can see Tyron playing LT is if Tyler struggles or if Dallas views Tyler as the future LG. But I doubt they’d view him as the future LG if he’s playing well at LT. Finding a stud LT is like finding a stud QB. It could get interesting if Peters takes over LG and the run game becomes elite. Then where do you put Tyron? You probably don’t want to bench Steele if you view him as the future RT. So the only choice is Biadasz.

I dont understand why this fanbase is so enamored with sticking with “the hot hand”

You can not with a straight face say this OL is better with Tyron on the bench

Tyron may go out as Tony Romo did. Better player overall but can't stay on the field and we have found a player that makes the transition smooth enough to go forward with him. Barring injury to someone else, Tyron has probably started his last game as a Cowboy.

I wouldn’t think so Romo didn’t

Is playing G easier on the body than T? Can Tyron play LG and possibly make him last longer? He's still underpaid for a G let alone a LT, so his contract isn't an issue

December is long way away and not guaranteed at that.

Cross that bridge when we get to it.
