Fair enough. I was just pointing that out.

Dak could have audibled the same amount in the game a few weeks ago to. We dont know that. We also know the WR corps in last years Tampa game and this years were way different lol. Either way. Thanks for the clarity.
I think Dak should have his audibling ability significantly reduced regardless.

He's not good enough at reading defenses to act like Peyton Manning at the line of scrimmage.

That's because Dak doesn't allow the game plans to be utilized......

Yes, the QB that has no idea how to read a defense at a high level is changing run plays "based on the look" .... Yikes...

This one of the learning opportunities Dak has, and what Steve Young was alluding to when he talked about being on the sideline.

The defence will give you looks based on your tendencies they see on tape. Sometimes you have to watch lots of tape, of yourself, and see how you audibled into a bad result. Then learn to trust the team, trust the call, and not get too cute.

As fans we do have to consider that part of the reason why Rush is having success is he is not Dak with Dak tendencies.

Shouldn't KMoore do some learning too? Dak got discredited for his performance last year against Philly's practice squad performers. KMoore got praised as a marvelous play-caller.

Dear Dak.....you're a Fall Guy now......competing against Zeke for the play-by-play of everything that goes wrong, during the games. You have a chance to win the Annual Fall Guy Award to excuse the dysfunction about this franchise, at the end of the year. You got paid, this Board doesn't like market value players beyond TRomo.

What's he learning now in these 2 games that he didn't learn in 2020 when he was out the whole season? or when he missed a game last year?

He's just blowing smoke telling people what he thinks they want to hear. He's a phoney.

Brees didn't win his first playoff game until after his 5th or 6th season..... Matt Stafford didn't win his first playoff game until his 10th or 11th season...

There's a couple more. But that doesn't mean you're average or you are what you are in 5, 6 seasons.
I am not talking about winning a playoff game.
I am talking about playing at a high level against all levels of competition.
Entering your 7th season you either can do that or you can't.
I understand even the great ones have a stinker of a game here and there.
But Dak seems to wilt against the good teams consistently.

I heard that stuff on the fan this morning and thought to myself are you kidding me? **** and come out and destroy these teams. He has not earned the right to say those things as of recent.even though its not all his fault he isnt doing himself any fovors running his mouith
Dak lost it completely when he took his shirt off and ran to the front for the post game locker room picture.

I haven't heard "kill, kill" on any play with Rush, unless I missed it. Sometime you just have to run the darn play that is called.
Multiple times in the NYG game.

You didnt miss it. You dont want to see it. This is why some (not all) fans that like to take kicks at Dak cant be taken seriously .They completely ignore things RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM.

Interesting comment. Maybe there is something to him changing the plays too much.

scary to think he can even better.
He can be even better? Than what? When?

When dak says it you are full hard on....zeke says it and you go limp. Dude...come on.
I am okay with you having your dumb opinion but STOP insulting and trying to shut other people up for theirs.

With all due respect why does it take until year 7 and sitting on the sidelines watching Cooper Rush succeed with the Moore offense to suddenly realize how simple things can be if you just do what you are expected to do? Also, why does it seem he is throwing shade on Cooper Rush by saying the game is so simple with Rush at the helm?

I'm sorry but I will be very interested to see how Dak performs when he comes back based on what he is saying now.
He is stupid for even saying anything. One poster mentioned he is coming back to a hornets nest he’s just making it even harder on himself

Dak doesn’t have the mental capacity to play QB at a high level. There I said it.
If he didnt have the capacity weeks 1-7 last season wouldnt have happened.

Now if you say he doesnt have the mental capacity to do it consistently. Now we are onto something. And that right there is why Dak isnt ELITE. He cant perform at a high level CONSISTENTLY. Or hasnt proven that he can to me at least.

Dak has had ample opportunity to learn the game.
You are what you are after 6 seasons.
It's time to move on Dallas Cowboys.

You are constantly learning as a player and honing your craft. Along the way, you can lose sight of some of the things that were working for you. I think trying to overcome and play with injuries has done that some with Dak, so it might be good for him to study what's happening on the field and use what can help him get back to where he was even as recent as early last season.

I guess there isn't much we can do as fans about who is on the squad , but from my perspective as a fan on an opinion board I will continue to support any person trying to learn to get better, and hope that Dak is focused on this.

There are others who are actually directly involved in the team who primary jobs is to determine whether he is the right guy and decide where to go with that decision.

In answering your question about the difference in 2020 versus 2022. Dalton was a seasoned QB who ended up winning four games. Clearly we all could see that the team wasn't behind Dalton. I don't think we need to rehash the hit incident.

Dalton lost against the better teams, and was so so with the average to good teams. Between him, Dinucci and Gilbert there was nothing for the team to rally around. The teams really hardly knew their back up QBs.

Now this year here comes Rush. He been with the team. He got an improbably win last year at Minny. Everyone on the team knows he is the backup.

And it is much easier for the team to rally around Rush. The familiarity and the relationship that makes Cooper one of their own in the locker room has for some reason influenced their play and approach.

This is the learning opportunity that Dak has before him that was not there in 2020. That Dalton, Dinucci and Gilbert mess was not a rallying situation for the team. They were resigned to the year is over, and Dak was probably stuck in the trauma of a terrible injury. And I hope you can acknowledge that he deserved some time and space to figure out what life was going to be like when he looked down at his shattered ankle.

2022 is different because Rush is bigger part of the team than the 2020 QBs. The injury to Dak is not a severe. The team is focused still on the opportunity to go to the playoffs. This is not a write off year so everyone is still in the game for the season, and focused on improving.

This time off is a great learning opportunity for Dak that hasn't presented itself in any other time of his career, and the on-field results with Dak relatively sound of mind on the sidelines to witness it is something he shouldn't pass over.

 you've posted this like 5 times already. It's from last yrs game with the bucs and so was this:

Tampa Bay has had the NFL's No. 1-ranked run defense in back-to-back seasons. It allowed 82.7 rushing yards per game last season and 73.8 rushing yards per game in 2019. McCarthy avoided running the ball and tried instead to take advantage of the Buccaneers' secondary.
McCarthy also schemed short passes to the outside to generate easy pitch-and-catch options. The Cowboys essentially used the screen game and swing passes to replace the running game. That allowed the team to get its playmakers in space while avoiding running up the middle against the likes of Ndamukong Suh (307 pounds) and Vita Vea (346 pounds).

McCarthy's game plan worked. The Cowboys racked up 451 yards of offense and punted just three times in 13 drives.

Dak will be back no matter how much you cry about it.
