If They Were Smart They'd Wait Until After The Philly Game To Bring Dak Back

OP - Remember when you predicted 2-4 to start the season and I made a bet to you that if they go 3-3 or better you leave the forum for a month and if they do worse I'll leave the forum for a month, and you never responded to me...good times.
Remember when you accused me of saying things and I literally dug up old posts of mine to prove you wrong and you never responded to me?

Good times there also.

He’s the 2nd biggest troll (behind poopydawg) on this site. Just pay attention to the threads he creates and it will become obvious.
A few of us think he’s an Eagles fan.

Little fella is so mad the Cowboys are pulling off wins right now. I absolutely love it. Just thinking of people like him that hate this team more then they like themselves getting upset on the couch by themselves. Love it.

If Dak comes back and looks like he did vs. SF and in week one against TB with the same play calling Rush has had the past 2 games then every one of the "haters" will be justified in their Dak-disdain. That said, whatever has been going on with Dak is between his ears. We've seen him make elite throws and elevate the team, and be the reason they have won games. Can he get back to that, or is the mounting pressure too much? You really can't know until he comes back and we get an apples to apples comparison. As down as I am on Dak I still think the first game was the sum of multiple errors, bad play calling, and lack of pre-season snaps. Let's all just be happy the team is winning instead of immediately reverting back to the Dak discussion. No one, hater or homer, has had their perspective validated yet. Rush has done just enough in two games, without the elite defense we apparently have we are likely 0-3 or 1-2 at best, so let's stop acting like there's a real QB controversy. That said, if Dak can't get back to form and looks like a deer in headlights with the same play calling/supporting cast, he should be replaced by a bus driving backup.

Okay fine let's do this. I'm sorry I was wrong that 1 time on that 1 post and you were right. Apologies. Now back to that 2-4 thing. Money where you mouth is?

I’m not thrilled with Daks level of play but like I’ve said in other threads I think Dak may benefit greatly from watching another guy step in and have success

Qb competition has always been taboo in Dallas and if we get a renewed, refocused Dak, it could lead to some good things. I’m hoping that this situation will get Dak to the next level and have success against top defenses and into the playoffs

That, and having a newly proven backup makes this team potential dynamite. I want to see this team in the NFC Championship game badly

I expect Dak to benefit the same way Wentz did when Foles played.

The play of Cooper Rush seems to have the Cowboys in a hurry to get Dak back as soon as possible to avoid any kind of media QB controversy, but this could back fire big time for them.

If they were smart they'd not bring Dak back for the Rams game as it seems to be reported that he's targeted for his comeback for that one.

The Cowboys could potentially be 3-0 with Rush as the QB going into that game and Dak coming back for that one seems like a recipe for disaster.

Dak probably won't be fully healed, going up against a pretty good defense, and the defending Super Bowl champs. Then you have the Eagles the next game when they look like world beaters right now.

Dak got trash threw at him after 3 quarters and an injury this year. Imagine what will happen if we lose to the Rams and Eagles and Dak plays bad.....

You'd think the Cowboys would perfer Rush play those games instead of Dak, but then again, what if Rush plays great and we win? Then the flames are fueled even more.

You think the fanbase is toxic now when it comes to Dak, just wait until he's rushed back and plays bad.
It's a helluva situation we've got going on here.

The schedule is mega-inconvenient as you detailed. And if they manage to beat the Rams somehow with Rush, this fan base is going to go nuclear.

Stephen loves his money so, so much, and if it's not on the field, he'll be squirming like a kid in church after kickoff. There's a $49 million albatross awaiting in the offseason.

This is quite the little drama, for sure.

It's needed.

Our guys are too comfortable. Especially the QB.

Let's see what they're really made of now.

It’s really uncharted territory for Dakota. He’s had it pretty cushy her except for the injuries and postseason failures. Let’s see how this new adversity works for him.

I really don’t know if this will be the stimulus for his improvement but he will be back for sure. Jerry and Daks contract all but guarantees this.

Dak was drafted to be a backup too. Rush is proving the original assessment was right.
Prescott has proven to be more than a backup. Rush hasn't. You can't judge a quarterback after a couple games it takes a year or 2.

So bring him back against cupcake teams? No, that soft mentality isnt going to get us anywhere. He needs to be out there when he’s feeling right. If thats LA or Philly then so be it. No running from the grind

All this sounds nice and all but when he gets medical clearance, he will start. It's as simple as that.......think about it. What did MM say after Jerry's silly _____ comment? Dak is our starting QB. In other words, there's nothing Rush can do with a short sampling of games to change that. You can't play politics with a $40M QB. If you've lost confidence in him, you bench him and get ready to move on but I shouldn't have to say, they are nowhere near that zip code.
Possibly. But the Romo situation says at some point he might get Wally Pipped.

I think Dak is the opposite of thrilled.

The last time he had pads on he was getting trash threw at him. If he comes back to a team that's went 3-0 without him will be a crazy amount of pressure on him to play well.

He'll never admit it, but I believe he'd much prefer he was coming back to a struggling offense that's not getting it done.

this seems a little far fetched and actually provocative. I find it hard to believe that you actually mean this.
