I don’t remember many injuries with Wilson because he wasn’t getting many opportunities as a receiver prior to 2021. He popped late due to Gallup missing games with injuries. He got opportunities replacing him and stepped up. I don’t like the idea of re-signing a receiver that’s coming off a serious injury. The games he’s missed are piling up.
I get your skepticism about Gallup I share that, I just don’t think people understand that Wilson had the injury bug for 2 years, which is about the same amount of time Gallup has had it.

Wilson was placed on injured reserve after being diagnosed with a torn labrum in his shoulder his rookie year. His sophomore season he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on December 10.He appeared in six games and was declared inactive in six contests.

My only point is wanting Wilson due to Gallup’s injuries make no sense because both have had multiple years of injuries.

I think Gallup will get over it, certainly hope so.

I have never heard a player in the NFL say that physically they're good it's just the mental right now that's keeping me out.

This is Ben Simmons type crap.

He already got paid he dont care. Now makeit where the Doctors clear him and he can't "go" like right now and deduct his paycheck every game he misses, the dude will be out there playing every snap. Most people if they don't show up to work they do not get paid, how nice is it that you can't just choose not to want to work and still get paid.

So let me get this straight, if Gallup doesn't play this week, we could have placed him on IR and been able to keep Ridgeway on the roster at least a little while longer with Gallup eligible to come off IR and play the next week anyway, right?

If he doesn't play this week, then the decision to keep him on the roster looks kind of foolish to me, even if Ridgeway wouldn't have worked out or would have eventually been cut and picked up by another team anyway. Roster management takes realistic expectations. Frankly, it's the same with Prescott. Short-term IR is four games. You should expect a player with a broken body part to miss four games minimum. In fact, you should probably make them miss four games minimum as a preventative for reinjury.
If they pup'd him he would have 4 weeks missed minimum. But all the rest is correct. Unless he was going to play by week 3 they should have pup'd him.

Yeah, it was PUP instead of IR for him.

Sure am glad we paid this guy and let Coop go for peanuts

And if Cooper was here making $20 million, you and all the others whining about this would be calling Jerry names as to why did they keep him and destroying the salary cap. And that he doesn't have 10 TD catches already.

Show me where I have done that with a player that produces Mr Moderator.

I will wait.

Here is the thing with PUP. He would not have been able to practice until those 4 weeks were up. Would you really throw him in there in game 5?
More like he would still need 2 weeks of practice still, putting him back for game 6 or 7. Instead he is getting in his practices now.

You will be waiting a long time then, because I am not going to research your posts to prove it to you. You know I am right.

I know you are wrong and you cannot prove it because I do not badmouth paid players who perform.

If Gallup stays healthy from here on out and plays great I will defend him and admit I was wrong ...... I always do.

You should be jumping for joy about Noah Brown who has just 6 yards less than Cooper right now at a tiny fraction of the cost.

That's right. It makes these guys who think they are smarter than the team look dumb.

It isn't going to stop.
My point is that Noah Brown and Cooper seem to have a great connection ...... He has never had that with Dak.

Cooper seems to like intermediate throws while Dak like 8 yard dumpoffs to the TE and long bombs.

I guess we will see.

He caught 5 passes from Dak in game 1 and was outstanding in camp with Dak.

Take your time Michael. Don't listen to the negative fanbase. You're a wonderful player & greatly missed. Only you know when it's time to return. Health comes first & nothing else.

Do you write greeting cards for a living?

Ok but if he does not play this week then what difference does it make. He is taking up a roster spot for what was a pretty aggressive return from a serious injury, many here even suggested no way he is back by week 6. That is the issue he made a thin position thinner because his timetable was going to be fluid.
