You know why? Because I rather us go into the Linc on a nationally televised game to play a undefeated Eagles team who everyone would be picking to win. That would motivate the hell out of our defense after hearing all week about how great Jalen Hurts is and how they are hard to beat. So you combine that with coming off a loss to the Rams and being underdogs against a division rival, there is no way in hell they lose that game. Of course I would love for us to beat the Rams but if they lose and the eagles are still undefeated, I believe it sets up everything for the following week. I would prefer a win over a overhyped division rival instead of a NFC team out of the division to calm the eagles hype down,

Or, and this might sound crazy:

Eagles lose to both AZ and us
And we beat both the Rams AND EAGLES!
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Who cares about the talk? This team is good, that team is bad, that win doesn’t count, etc. Just go out and win.

And root for an eagles loss

Flawed Logic.

It never ceases to amaze me how much people overrate the emotional part of the game. The game is about talent, preparation, scheme, matchups and execution (and no small amount of luck). Can getting super-amped up for a game make a little bit of difference? Sure, maybe you pass-rush a little harder and get a sack...and maybe you overthrow a pass or overrun a play because of it.

I mean, seriously, how many points do you think we gain because we're coming off a loss? How many points do the Eagles lose because they're undefeated?

I agree 100 percent. Also if the players aren't emotionally amped up for every game they are in the wrong profession.

True, I do think coming off a loss a team tends to focus in more through out the week because they have a sense of backs up against the wall. But sure games are won and loss by preparation and execution

I just as soon see Cowboys beat the rams and Cards beat Philly. Sunday Night Football could feature 4-1 Cowboys vs 4-1 Eagles and game would be just as exciting

That's true too, but I think we benefit more by going to play a undefeated eagles team since they would be OVERDUE for a loss.
