IS QB a failure if they never win a SB?

So if a QB plays for a team ten or so seasons, was a high draft pick and never wins a SB, does that mean he was a Bust?
no, it all depends on the team around them, ownership, etc. its truly a team game.

lesser QBs won superbowl, doesn't make them great.

drew brees didn't win a superbowl until later in his career and people thought he was great.

Rivers was a QB most teams would have taken early in his career. he was a great QB.

Not a bust, but a disappointment. I loved Romo. I'd never call him a bust regardless of his draft status. Even if we'd taken him with a high pick, or any pick at all, he wouldn't be a bust. But I'd be lying if I said I'm not disappointed we didn't win a superbowl with him.

I don't think so, especially the guys who played before free agency. If you got drafted by a bad organization, good luck.

Even now, it takes a team. Put prime Tom Brady on the winless 2017 Browns and he's not sniffing a SB, although they probably wouldn't be winless.

Each situation is different.
If a quarterback has the talent around him, but he doesn't make them better, he's a bust.
If a quarterback is on a bad team, but is making the team better, it shows.

I don't believe so. For a QB to succeed he needs 10 other guys on the field to do their jobs. Then you got defense and STs. I don't think any position on any team can be solely responsible for a championship. What's unfortunate for QBs is if they play bad then it really hurts a team's chance. So they get more scrutiny. IMO

Not winning a Super Bowl doesn’t make any QB a bust regardless how high they were drafted. Dan Marino certainly wasn’t a bust. Winning a Super Bowl is incredibly difficult and it takes a complete team which is why there’s been some average QBs win Super Bowls and some great QBs that didn’t. Every QB needs a good supporting cast to be successful. The definition of a bust in NFL terms is a player that never lived up to expectations and didn’t perform well. There’s a lot of QBs that performed very well over their careers that never won a Super Bowl.

Failure? No
But I'm sure they would be disappointed.
But neither the player or any fan in their right mind would call a player a bust based on that narrow criteria.

This is the only sport where most (usually all) players only offense or defense.
No matter how great a player is, it is impossible to win the Super Bowl without a ton of help on both sides of the ball.
