Well, we are going to need another level of offense before too long, so I hope he is right.

Skip called it right. The best thing dak should do now is shut the hell up and go win at Philly . No more BS from Dak will be tolerated. The 42 mil a year QB has been found out to be a mediocre diva who is not as important to this team by any stretch of imagination.
I keep thinking how Dak screwed up a crucial game at Phily in 2019 which was very very winnable and would have taken the cowboys to the palyoffs against a terrible eagles team and defense. Dak messed it up and missed crucial throws and the season was over for the cowboys. He got a pass somehow and we know how he performs in big games.

Dak will never be as efficient as Rush. And I don’t means stupid stats. I mean Daks idiotic decision making in pressure moments.
And now we see Daks immaturity once again. He is simply not a franchise QB.
Eh maybe, maybe not. I think Dak could be what Rush has been as far as decision making and pressure moments, but he needs to realize that he doesn't have to be the super hero anymore. If Dak can go back to the 2016 version where he was basically a game manager who was able to take some shots when needed he can be better for this team than Rush is. Remember 2016 Dak Prescott was absolute money during pressure situations. If Dak comes back really expecting to take the offense to the next level that concerns me. We don't need this offense to go to the next level. We need to limit the mistakes, get first downs, and score 20-30 per game. If Dak comes back with something to prove and makes it about himself we will see a repeat of 2021. He will get his numbers, but the Cowboys will lose in the end.

These are direct quotes from Dak that we are discussing. It's obvious he will be inclined to audible out of run plays and the game will not be about the team winning but proving himself which he will fail to do. What an absolute tool this guy is.

Dak is good for at least an additional TD per game over the last 4 games. I admire what Cooper Rush has done in not turning the ball over, and I don’t believe that Dak is as good as Romo was. But Dak is better than Cooper Rush. He led the #1 offense in the NFL last season.

Of course, he believes he can take the Cowboys’ offense to another level - because he’s already proven he can. I’m not a huge Dak fan. I think the Cowboys missed their chance in 2016 by keeping Romo on the bench, although I understand why they did it. Dak literally had the best rookie QB performance in NFL history. So I get it.

Dak has every reason to believe he can improve the offense, and it is NOT derogatory to Cooper Rush for him to believe in himself.

Agreed. If he didn't believe the offense could go to "another level" when he's considered a franchise QB, wouldn't that be a bad thing? Maybe he shouldn't have stated it, since it can be taken as a slight, but I think he was only expressing confidence in his ability. I hope he's right.

Romo was in the same situation as Dak and handled it with class. Never said anything to undermine the winning streak the team was on. Never implied the team would be better when he returned, even though in that case it would have.
No but he insisted on holding a unnecessary press conference so he could read his ‘heartfelt’ letter.

I like it. Maybe Dak with get his thumb out of a dark place now. If he plays inspired, I love it.

He gives our cowboys the best chance ...period. Dallas scored 13 points on offense yesterday.

Oh for God sakes people get a life. Rush and dak are good friends. Stop creating crap because you are bored.

You will be much happier if you sit back and look at it all as a comedy. Except in this movie all of the actors are unwittingly hilarious.

I heard Jeff Cavanaugh use a stat that kind of squelches the Dak Haters argument of Dak being figured out since Denver game last year....

If I remember correctly...he mentioned that all those winning teams Dak cant beat or the post Denver games...the offense averaged 30 points in those games.

That doesnt mean Dak doesnt have issues with Zone/2 High/whatever...it just means Dak can put points on the board at a higher rate than what Rush is doing. And for the garbage time argument...I dont know if Rush could average 30+ ppg even with a bunch of garbage time.

If that stat is true...I believe Dak can help us get wins at an easier rate than Rush. Time will tell.
